I know stats are over-rated and quite pointless but I am going crazy. Day by day, I feel my game going worse and I can't find where I am leaking. Maybe you can help?

02-07-2008 , 01:55 AM
you don't find spots to bluff or shove with Fold Equity

you're a post-flop nit, with your tight-ass range you shouldn't have such a low W$WSF%
03-06-2008 , 12:49 AM
I feel like I'm doing it wrong.

Could you help me?
03-06-2008 , 01:06 AM
n1, seems like you are probably misplaying hands postflop or likely making some bad calls that are folds and vice versa. Statswise you look pretty solid tbh.
03-06-2008 , 01:16 AM
thanks CDL, much appreciated.
03-06-2008 , 01:28 AM
Yea, the stats look good, but I think W$WSF is usually a bit higher, especially for a 16/13ish style... anyone want to confirm that? It takes more than stats to figure out why your play is resulting in not winning enough flops, if there's a reason at all - you could be running significantly bad over this sample.

Edit: You could also stand to defend your big blind slightly more if you have enough attention to spare.

Ranka, what do I know about NL100, but the last time I ran this bad I tightened up generally, down from 16/12 to like 13/10, sometimes even nittier. Fold more UTG, maybe consider dropping 22-66 and AQo unless you are sure you are making money with them up front. Look hard at your button play, that should be your money seat. Are you getting 3bet off too many hands? Are you getting tilted into overplaying when you are 3bet?

Do a separate analysis of

a) pairs 88 and smaller
b) suited aces
c) connectors
d) weak and offsuit broadway.

Look at each of those groups in and out of position, if they aren't showing a profit, try restricting or dropping them from your starting roster altogether for a while.

I found and patched a ton of leaks looking separately at those groups of hands and either tinkering with or dropping marginal holdings. Without even realising it, I had been losing a ton of money by misplaying dumb hands like offsuit aces and weak broadway. I also realised that I was misplaying nearly all of my drawing hands to some degree.

ranka stop 3betting me so much, I always have the nuts.

nr1, looks like you have some postflop leaks. Stats are solid though. Also dont play PL its rigged.

That's disgusting eternal. Are you +$ this month?
03-20-2008 , 01:37 AM
Breaking even right now, last month I managed to make some money during leap day which put me in the positive, but this month is a bit tough. The mont is till not over yet tho so we'll see what happens. I am pretty stressed though. The first time poker hurts me inside physically. but ill get over it sooner or later

Makes me sick looking at though graphs. Can't imagine if they were mine.

Hi Guys,
Here are all my hands since the start of the year - around 60k. I have 180k hands lifetime. I generally 9 table 100nl at ongame, although recently I have been mixing in 3 or 4 tables of 200nl, although i feel like im yet to "find my feet" at that limit.

I am *comfortable* at 100nl, but I know there is still HEAPS of room for improvement on my part. My lifetime hourly at 100nl is around $20 (just from playing, not including bonuses), but I know some of the great SSFR players can get up around $80-$100 an hour at this limit. Thats where I want to be. My goal at the moment is to find my feet at 200nl, so I can comfortably play 6+ tables of it. From there I would like to be good enough to have an edge at nl400 and beyond (doesnt everyone?). I feel generally unconfident about my post flop skills, especially against the regs at nl200. Whenever I get into a biggish hand against a reg i kinda get nervous and feel like im playing weak. Anyway...the stats I have displayed in my HUD are ...

VPIP
PFR
Agg factor
WTSD
Hands played
Fold to Cbet
Fold BB to steal
Att Steal
C bet freq
Bet River.

Any other ones I should add in here? Any Ideas of how I can more effectively interpret these stats? . Help me become a winner at 200nl please! feel free to PM me or get me on msn - tower_of_powers@hotmail.com. Here are the stats...

you're a nit

you're welcome
03-26-2008 , 06:42 AM
Raise more pf, and more on the flop.

You are somewhat nitty cut out the coldcalling and raise that **** up.

Welp I'm at the quarter mil mark, figured that's enough hands to do a reasonable analysis and look for leaks.

Graph -

Overall Stats, Position Stats, PP Stats -

And just for fun, top 5 players I've profited from all-time -

1) BareAce11
2) JimtheJakal1 (sorry Jim ur solid)
3) john1226
4) MilanoDonk
5) mariojr

I found that list pretty amusing If anyone can find any serious leaks or suggestions based on my data, please help me out. I feel like I am def weak postflop and am perhaps playing certain situations unprofitably - if anyone submits good analysis you'll officially be my caucasian 4eva.

u get bluffed lilmore than you should, not terrible.
04-12-2008 , 01:27 AM
Play more hands from c/o than button?
04-12-2008 , 01:30 AM
Shouldn't W$WSF be a bit lower for a level like this compared to 400nl+?

I mean you shouldn't be dbl barreling horrible players all day.

His AmtWonWSF should be the thing that should be higher I think.
