cliffs: her mom died one year ago, her dad getting remarried, she wants to go to med school he won't let her, I had to move out (we lived with each other two years) so shes having a lot of problems but then again she's always been treating me like **** and the straw that broke the camel's back was her saying the following:

"Give me space until Friday. Or get me a bigger engagement ring. Even your sister made fun of it because of how small it is".

You're early 20's, right? I've heard time and time again that making life choices that revolve around a woman at that stage of your life is bad strat. I followed my gf to college when I knew it was stupid, but didn't care at the moment. I wasted like 2 years of my college life on one woman that was maybe only in the 70th percentile when I could have been out meeting tons and tons of girls and just people in general. The experiences I could have gained makes me sick to think about. Not to mention I should have been at an entirely different college to begin with if I didn't follow her there.

In short, no girl is worth compromising the more important things in your life. There's so many women out there that are perfect for you, there's no rush to settle down with one when you are so young. So if one is holding you back, I'd really reconsider what your intentions are in the relationship.

And I'm also thinking of moving to Vancouver next summer if this BF **** doesn't get sorted out by then. My sister is going to drag me out there to help her pay for rent, and supposedly it's one of the sickest cities in the world.

Bold seems like the dealbreaker. If this is actually true there is no way you should consider marrying her/why the hell did u get engaged in the first place. If this has just been a really recent thing with her then maybe you should talk to her about it first and see if there is something that can be worked out, but if she has been treating you like **** for 4 years then the break up has been a long time coming.

yeah pretty much. she thinks she needs her dad money for medical school and she thinks loans won't take care of her living expenses. she is incredibly nieve in that regard.

since her mom died, she has turned up the ****storm. Before then it was fine, things were good etc. this last year has been trying though for the both of us. Like she keeps saying "me me me" and I just want to be like OH rly did you wake up one day and have your entire career taken away just like that? I can't do that though because a. im not a dick and b.thats not even close to comparable to losing a loved one, let alone one's mother. But its all her bull**** all the time. Yeah, poker left and I couldn't pay for my schooling because my money is stuck on FTP but I sacked up and adapted...I found a job and went back to a community college. I still play on Merge but I have to be staked because I don't have the necassary funds to be on my own (ala FTP).

Yet I never bitch about these things and I just keep grinding everyday to the death and for her its always these ****ing problems that it seems she can't get over. Like I love her with all my being but its gotten too much. I don't know what to do.

Also, she has said she is jealous of our roomies because they are engaged and getting ready to start life in a new house in about a year. The girl inherited like a bajillion dollars from family and her fiancee works at Wells Fargo. much different from a prospective medical student whose fiancee is a busto out of work professional poker player.
