**** Official 2012 Pokerstars Regs Thread **** - Page 430 - Small Stakes Full Ring Games

Well, obviously untill PokerStars bans CIS from playing regs will stay. The only effect at work now - some regional providers banned access to pokerstars.com/.ru and probably to others like FT, party etc. If this practice goes on MAYBE SOME DAY eventually you will have only russian regulars. I'm not even sure this is serious, we'll see in a couple of months.

tldr for happy clowns: suck it, regulars will stay, but there is a chance that fish will become extinct.

Why would regs be able to continue playing and not fish?

They no longer make the effort to deposit. Regs dont need to and the regs find a way around the law.

i have to admit most of my knowledge about russia comes from youtube but after reading this news ive lost a lot of respect for them

Depends on exactly what the law does. Does it require all ISP's to block Pokerstars? You guys make it sound so easy for regs to get around this.

Most likely only the access to pokerstars.com/ru is going to be blocked if ever, not the client itself.

banning russia would be horrible, but serious question

are there many options for russians to move around to near by countries with a low cost of living? i know it was a pain in the dick the last time i looked in to visiting russia so maybe other countries extend the same welcome. or perhaps they might be still pissed at some stuff that happened in the past

Ppl without families can easily move to Ukraine, Belorussia or even Thailand/India smth. A lot of my friends live in Thailand like 10 months a year.
