I took the news much differently, and correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't part of the agreement that these sites would be able to re-enter the US? If that's the case, is this not a good thing for FR? The largest player-base in the world is now going to be able to get back online, and likely with greater ease than before, as the government has been paid, and will likely collect a percentage of future earnings, at least from the US players? I could be way off, but I thought that even with another large site up and running, the amount of new players coming back would outweigh those leaving Stars to play on FTP. I envisioned people eventually being able to go to Walmart and buy gift cards for online poker...
you misunderstand. The provision is that
when US poker is regulated these sites will be allowed to apply for a license. It does not mean that magically, when FTP comes back up, americans will be allowed to play on FTP/Stars again
