I'm sure this has been discussed, but what's up with ptr being inaccurate? I'm sure this happens to everyone, guys who have played in the millions of hands, are all of your results displayed on ptr way off?
03-13-2012 , 06:48 PM

im not really tracking results, just hands
and it seems that on 200-1000nl ptr tracks around 30% of hands played in the last 1,5 months or so

I know this has been asked a million times but never got a proper answer.

Need a new laptop for grinding, but im a complete noob and need some help.
If anyone could link me to a sick one on ebuyer or somethin it would be much appreciated (not a mac)

What's important for you in the new laptop?

Size? Would you prefer small or big? Or in between? Generally your choices are 13", 15", and 17"

Power? More powerful machines come in larger sizes, but decrease battery life, increase weight, and make it hotter/heavier

Quiet? Quieter machines are generally less powerful, but there are some more powerful ones that can be quiet

Battery Life? Some laptops have 2 hours, some up to 8 and again have trade offs with other features

Durability? Cheaper brands may not take heavy use as well

Resolution? Larger screen sizes allow for higher resolution, but there are some smaller laptops that allow for really high resolution

Weight? Some laptops are really light, which can be nice if you plan on moving it around a lot

Pretty much anything reasonable and new would be good enough for grinding, so it's up to personal preference on a bunch of other things.

Just so it doesnt lag when I use hem(2?), ninja, 24 table stars and run internet security.
15" i guess. Gotta be reliable I guess and would like it to last a while

I'm looking for one also...pretty similar requirements...don't care about company...want like 15" screen, good resolution (not the 13xx X 768), preferably SSD and decent battery life

You know what i hate the most? When people make big calls with hands that look pretty, but only beat a bluff... and I was bluffing.
