Gotta ask.

The Short stacker issue is alot more important imo, both that and a 500k sne would cost stars a lot of money, I've a hard time seeing both implemented.
11-09-2012 , 09:35 AM
I'm not really convinced that a 500k level would cost Stars money. It would give a significant amount of players the motivation to play a much larger volume thus making stars more money. Also once people get to that level, they then realize that SNE is also obtainable and might be willing to put in even more effort and volume. I'm assuming that was pretty much the motivation behind adding stellar awards. These two things could balance out, or even make Stars a profit. We'd really need some type of numbers to determine for sure.

They could try implementing it for players who get 90% of their VPPs from cash games as well.

Whole thing is wishful thinking I know.

I spoke to a dude from Stars at the dinner thing i attended in London and mentioned a Supernova+ level. He said in order to implement that, they'd have to take stuff away from the other VIP levels.

thats fine. **** them

+1 **** em

its absurd that any reasonable "pro" playing SSFR rather than MSFR can hit the 2nd highest vip level in 6 weeks, but to make it to the highest it takes a year of hell

Please send an email to highstakes@pokerstars.com, subject ATTN: Nick, to discuss further. He is unlikely to give you exactly what you're asking, but generic information such as:
1) In general terms, how close/far am I from having my table cap lowered/increased?
2) How has my time to act changed, in general, over the past X months?

Note that nobody has their max tables decreased without a warning and a full month to speed up play.

We don't currently have any plans to change the threshholds required for increase/decrease but I'm not going to make a firm promise that the numbers won't changed for X duration into the future. If we decide it's appropriate to change the numbers, we'll change them.

So what's the chances of a 400k or 500k VPP tier Steve?

Hi Steve, everyone itt feels a raise in pay is appropriate for the majority
of the regular grinders who are not sne, and we have measurable reasons
and stats to back up our request for a pay increase.

We appreciate the incentives of the past, but inflation is a real living thing,
so what about a 2yr/3yr/5yr milestone super bonus for the continued loyalty reward?
11-09-2012 , 12:45 PM
there's a time and place for your trolling K_2. this isn't one of them.

we're not looking for a pay-raise, we're looking to get back to 1/2 the level of what we had before the VPP changes. given that very few people ITT thread get either 100-250k or 1m VPPs, it's a reasonable discussion point because the current rewards system alienates a lot of the small stakes pros.

I'm sure you already know about the current Milestone Cash Credits that result in steadily increasing rewards percentages at 100,000 yVPP increments.

Beyond that, the chances are 0 for 2013 and very, very low for the future.

What about a 2yr/3yr/5yr continued loyalty bonus?
11-09-2012 , 02:09 PM
Why would they give us loyalty bonus if we are not going anywhere anyway.
11-09-2012 , 02:10 PM
We should all protest against no loyalty bonuses and go take our business over to Full Tilt. Oh... wait....

theres obv not as much incentive for them to roll out loyalty bonuses today but when theres actual competition it makes sense. i think ironman style bonuses of rewarding regs is the best way to go. under the current stars system there is hardly any additional benefit of playing SN until you reach SNE (rate wise). when theres actual competition this leaves the door wide open for SN players to just come n go as they please and still get pretty much the same rakeback rate.

is today the day FR zoom died?
11-09-2012 , 03:38 PM
pokerstars concedes that their their queue-to-start system is bad and that we should be able to play shorthanded zoom (would drastically help the games get started in the morning ldo). they say they are working on this problem. but, seeing as how we've been waiting many months already, every additional month that stars does nothing feels like a kick in the teeth for those of us who love FR zoom and hate the brutal waitlists of the regular FR games.
11-09-2012 , 03:40 PM
you can play shorthanded rush on FTP
11-09-2012 , 03:44 PM
FTP has 1/4 as many players.
11-09-2012 , 03:50 PM
Yeah I know, wasn't suggesting you play there, sorry didn't clarify well. I'm just saying that there should be no reason why Stars doesn't allow short handed play at FR Zoom when FTP does
