You just can't let it dry out. You have to keep it away from heat sources (warm pipes and the like). Airtight containers work well, i found that keeping it in old 35 mil film canisters worked great (do they even make those anymore). I would keep the main stash in double zip lock bags.

short answer: no.

slightly longer answer: after pot is harvested it needs to 'cure'. that means u leave it for 2-3 months in airtight containers. during this period potency increases A LOT. So depending on how cured the weed u buy is, leaving it for a while could possibly increase potency.

That said, leaving weed in sunlight will definitely decrease potency. Not sure about artificial light but generally ppl just store it in dark places.

funny story.my previous landlord who i was friends with actually ATE weed raw and said it gets him high as a kite. I was very very skeptical about this but after further research it seems this is actually possible, although very wasteful (and unpleasant)



@ Disco, since u seem to smoke quite a bit, i'd recommend u get a vaporizer. SUper healthy for the lungs and it's unbelievably economical. Every time I vape and I need to change the 'contents', i dont throw away the used stuff but keep it until i have ~ 1/3 oz - 1/2 oz then make that into brownies. ridiculously potent brownies.

i bought five sticks of ganja butter that I paid 75$ each for. Made a batch of cookies for my boys batchelor party. it was so sick. we all got so blitzed. @Jah: Never made the jump into vapes. Don't really know why, maybe cuz for a while I never understood how the **** they work, and I fear things I don't understand. I usually just burn a bubs or bowl. I also have a vortex grav which is sick.

yeh problem with that is u still burn the weed right? the process of burning releases carcinogens.

the recipe i use for ganja butter is one i read about 5 yrs ago on a forum and last time i checked it was nowhere to be found on the internet (not easily at least). grind whatever u have up real fine, coffee grinder is ideal. use clarified butter* (ghee), about 10oz for every oz of plant material. put a BIG pot of water on the stove filling it up 3/4 of the way and bring it to a gentle simmer and make sure it stays that way. then put your clarified butter and plant material in a bowl that will float, set that into the pot of water and keep it there for 18-24 hrs. you need to occasionally gently stir the butter so the plant material has maximum surface area contact with said butter, and u need to top up the water every now and then.

The advantage of this over any and all other methods is u get every last drop of thc out of your ganja and the resulting brownies will be hella potent


* we use clarified butter because it's basically all fat and thc only binds to fat.it's basically butter without the water content and whatever impurities it has. you can easily find it on the internet and in any self-respecting indian grocery store. maybe asian as well, but definitely indian.

Might be a NZ thing, I've not seen it anywhere else.

never tried it but i've read about [ppl doing] it, def not exclusive to nz. there's a variation called green dragon, it's def interesting and much easier than reducing isopropyl alcohol which was never something i wanted to do.
