but he wasnt even the one who requested time
11-29-2010 , 10:23 PM
lol, what? he didn't even request time, first of all. so how long could he have been thinking for?

second, he wasn't even closing the action, so it's reasonable to think that he took a little bit of time to appear weaker and widen your calling range (unlikely, but it's still higher EV to wait a few seconds than to snap-shove).

BTN folded, so it's HU now, and he didn't use time bank pool but he waited the full 10 or w/e seconds to shove.
11-29-2010 , 10:54 PM
lol it's not a slowroll to time bank with people still left to act.
11-29-2010 , 10:58 PM
That's not a slowroll at all bro. You cold 4-bet. He certainly could have been thinking about folding.
11-29-2010 , 10:58 PM
omg, the full 10 seconds!!!

could have been playing 3-4 tables too, in which case he might have had action on other tables and was really snap-shoving when he had the time to.
11-29-2010 , 11:00 PM
I'd be fine with 5 seconds to balance and not snap shove or w/e, but 10 seconds come on
11-29-2010 , 11:12 PM
Dude no way that's a slowroll not even close. He either legit thought you had the AA or thought about flatting.

P sure the board texture and my decision being on the river and not pre makes my "slow roll" barely comparable.

I had a reason for taking a long time too, there's zero reason to slow roll you in the spot i did so logically it was accidental.

slowrolling is pretty much the one thing that'll always piss me off in poker no matter where or how many tables i'm playing, it just pisses me off for some reason... tbh it induces so much tilt that I actively seek revenge against the person that did it lol

like this hand for instance, the guy slowrolled me on the river call for like half his time bank so I made it my priority to win every single pot he played that session (and every session since then fwiw)

lol what does pre and on the river matter?

and the board texture? so you call a raise on flop, c/c turn w/ an overpair, then when texture doesnt really get worse on river you consider folding topset?

also i like how now it wasnt cuz you were on other tables since that could easily explain why guy "slowrolled" you for 10 seconds. now you were concerned about board texture
