Curious as to the nature of your intentions with that HH, surely you know you took one of the worst lines possible there

what would you do? We are deep and
I 4 bet because I got 3 bet a lot from him and I felt like he would fold a lot. Other than the 4 bet I think I played it pretty standard. I'm beat by like what 3 combinations of kings?
11-22-2010 , 07:12 AM
I'd have bet the turn for starters.

he potentially folds his QK KJs JJ QQ TT essentially his whole 4 bet calling range. He will bet any hands that he would have called a bet with anyway and my line looks super bluffy now. If i just barrel the whole way what will give me action?

I'm no longer a DC coach. I stopped coaching (new students) and left DC. I went from 150- 200k hands/month and 5 hours of coaching to 30k hands a month and 40 hours of coaching for a long time. I think I have 4-5 vids on DC under NLfool

The time I spent coaching was great and I coached close to 200 students but I decided to focus on poker again and take on a very very limited # of new students. I'm back to the 150-200k hands a month again as I have no idea how long poker will be around and want to exploit it while the games are still good.

I also started to dislike not having the freedom I used to have. Going from making my own hours to having to coach at 9:30am 1pm, 8:30pm and 11:30pm because thats what my clients wanted started getting tiresome.

I can relate a decent amount. I've been coaching close to 10 students/week for almost all year. I definitely agree the hours can be long sometimes, but I haven't seemed to burn out on it. I have found a way to only coach on certain days though. I coach pretty much all my students on mondays and tuesdays so those days are packed but then the rest of the week is done. Its nice makes me feel like the weekend is here after I finish up my sessions!

It is nice to see a prominent FR coach taking a break. Maybe i'll get some runoff

I tried doing something like that but with my wife working shift work and 2 kids and a 3rd on the way it just wasn't feasable. Also the above post should say 40 hours/week of coaching not 40 hours /month.

I was coaching far to much and playing far to less.

I see you at the 400 rush from time to time, hows that going?

ya the wife/kids I would have imagine makes things much more interesting and 40hours/week is completely insane. I've never heard of anything like that before honestly. That's absolutely insane coaching volume. Was it 40 different students/week? Cause if so, you better have some damn good notes.

Its been fine. Definitely more fun/challenging than playing 200nl cause everyone doesn't blow donkeyballs.

yah...and exactly how many combos that you beat does he have on the river before you shove?
now that you've shoved how many combos that you beat do you expect he's calling?
