I disagree with the argument that only showing it live should count. We're all online poker regulars. I'm sure 99% of us have auto-muck turned on, so we don't slow our own game down. We're not regs playing in a B&M where we flash our cards to each other all the time and show bluffs. Every day I see one reg here ask another what they had in a certain hand when they folded to a bet, they don't expect him to show it at the table.

In addition, you didn't say this to an unknown who then googled you, found you on this forum, registered, and showed a screen shot. You said this to a known reg on this forum. How could he not expect that coming here and providing proof wouldn't be accepted. And then to call him a toolbag for doing so is very poor form. Just my humble opinion.

This is all I expected really. Not once have I explicitly demanded that he paid me as I didn't think I was 'calling him out' by posting what I thought was something amusing at the table. It's a foolish thing for him to have said at the time but I honestly didn't imagine it would lead to anything other than "sorry, I'm not going to pay". If he were to have shipped it then he'd get big props for standing by his word. Instead he's weaseling out with a weak angle which, as I lazily mentioned before, is easily disputed as Gunslinger has elaborated upon above.

What I find ridiculous is the pretense that he would've snap paid if I'd shown him at the table. What's even more ridiculous is that I'm the type of person who'd genuinely consider shipping some if not all of it back if he'd done it without fuss.

I think you're being ridiculous with these examples. Standouts was never like, 500 if you show anything but QQ.. DO YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE? No, he simply was trying to be cool by showing how sick he is at hand reading by giving up $500 on an insane 3 combos of hand range.
