a 12/11 TAG isn't gonna show up with 45 or 45s here. maybe some of the time but the times that he has 66 or 77 surely make it a +EV play even if he would call with those hands pre which I doubt he'll ever do.

His range is sets only OTT imo

Is there any sort of defense against double-cold-callers? Typical example: MP opens 3x, CO calls, you 3bet to 12x from BTN with QQ+, EP folds, and MP calls. There's almost 30x in the pot going to the flop, and you only have 88x behind, so b/c seems like the only option on pretty much every flop. However, I feel like most fish don't c/shove a hand like JJ on 962r...they just c/c. Is there any option other than just b/c and taking your medicine when they outflop you?
11-05-2010 , 06:00 PM
you must run really reallllllllly bad. having an overpair in 3bet against a non reg is always fistpump b/c
11-05-2010 , 06:08 PM
It seems like such a no-brainer, but then I filter for situations like that and find people either c/c flop c/f turn, c/c flop c/c turn shove with worse, or c/jam with hands that have at least 40% equity. I'm a nit, but image can't be an issue vs. fish at Rush, so...I don't know.
11-05-2010 , 07:30 PM
I know how you feel Kos, I fight this issue on a daily basis. Very tilting when they constantly catch their set. I had a hand the other day, 3 limpers and I had AA on the button, 3 bet to 16 bux, first two limpers fold and third calls. Flop 855, he open jams, I fistpump call and he shows me 56. fml

It's commonly true that most regs an fish alike go into c/c mode here, regs don't c/r because they know they're turning their SDV into a bluff in a 3b pot which is a no-no a lot of the time in FR.

I never feel good having QQ in 3b pot vs regs on like 9 high boards and getting c/r

Funny just played a hand similar to the situation / convo we're talking about

I know people like to set mine in these spots with med PP's 77-99, TT+ is premiums to non-regs, and yeah
