Can you imagine the pressure on Full Tilt's Rush Patent. If that thing gives and Stars bring out Rush poker there will be a massive decline on FT I expect. You'd have to be brain dead to grind FT Rush for reduced rakeback + blackcard when you could get SN easily on Stars and even SNE would be more achieveable.

Thats the beauty of Rush. Its similar enough to a regular game to attract players, but different enough to be both appealing and patentable.

The cliff-notes for the patent will be something like "when each hand ends you are assigned a different set of players at your table".

How do you work around that?

That's why people have lawyers.

I have decided I'll balance my posts in the Official FullTilt regulars thread out by not taking this one seriously. In honor of that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0

So i guess i am in the minority here, through 6 days looks like my rake has gone up.. HEM has my rake paid at 934.34.. My rake site has me at 1047.44.. Sounds like a raise to me

Rush poker, NL200. Folds to CO who opens to $7, BTN calls, you have AKs in BB and 3-bet to $24 (fairly standard). Original raiser, makes it like $55 and other guy folds. What is your play. Guy is like 15/12 or thereabouts with 75% fold to 3bet and 25% 4-bet. This means he has no 3-bet call range. Either folds or 4bets..

100bb effective, what is our play?

Standard ship, he will have weaker hands in his range (despite people assuming this isn't the case at rush it most certainly is) and there's a decent amount of dead money. If you think he only has QQ+ AK then call the 4bet and donk ship any flop.
10-06-2010 , 03:02 PM
I think you should fold because you have no FE and you are either flipping or dominated.
10-06-2010 , 03:03 PM
Thanks. Next question, why do similar villains in similar circumstances only ever show me KK+ since about march (I say march because first few months of Rush were way more volatile).

I am really battling raw maths versus a lot of experience to suggest the maths (and my assumptions) must be wrong.

So many of our "standard ships" at Rush produce unfavourable results over large samples. Why?

We must have some FE? I mean a guy with 75/25 fold/4-bet response to a 3-bet has to have a wider range than AK+JJ+, especially in LP battle with a dead 4bb?
10-06-2010 , 03:10 PM
Hello.
Does Rui Nunes post here?

If you read this please PM me, I have a question.
