Am I insane for wanting to shove here? Am I insane for wanting to shove here?

Villain (that calls cbet) is 16/13 with 70% fold to 3b. I dont think he has many Ax combos in his pre-flop range. TBH, I think its close to zero as played. I figure him for pp (66, 88-JJ). In short, it feels like the only hand he will call a shove with is 66.

He can have plenty of aces

You dont think AK would take this line?
10-07-2010 , 10:42 AM
this whole hand is insane

first of you started with a squeeze which would require you to play like 9/8 2%3bet to be sucessfull

then you went on to lead out on a flop which you dont have any equity in at all, and besides the lack of equity there is plenty of Aces in villian ranges and the most important thing, do you really lead out this flop if you have AA/AK?

fold turn and save your last 100$ for a cool donation to me instead

I lead AA/AK all day long, checking is sick obvious (also, if he does have QQ/JJ, he will not become interested if you slowplay unless/until he hits and overtakes AK)

I also dont think this villain has many Ax in his range at all. Yes, some villains (many) play AK/AQ/Ax this way, but I felt strongly this guys range pre was heavily weighted to PPs.

This is plain wrong.

FWIW, I was right, he did have a PP. Quads.

To answer your question, yes. Whole hand is spew.

[x] Fails to see how squeezing RND hand vs two players with high fold to 3bet is auto-spew.
[x] Accepts cbet + turn shove may be spew.

what does RND stand for? Im assuming it has something to do with how profitable a hand is in a multiway pot?

lol at elgrecco's PTR graph...

Well, leveling apart... I am making a mistake if I only ever have Ax+ when I shove here and villain is making a mistake if he can only have Ax+ after calling flop. It not like this hand is common. By simple logic people don't post common hands on a forum looking for opinion.

I've seen you do something like this with AT on 8889 vs me..

So play masters ITT.

If his fold to 3bet were lower, I'd like it a lot more. The problem when it's around 70 is that all his aces are stacking off and unless you have some sick image, he's not going to float you here without an ace.

Very good shove if your original reads were accurate (obviously.) In reality, he probably doesn't have worse than AQ after the flop.
