Seems like a lot of YouTube videos are popping up in threads, and I thought it might be helpful (to me, at least) to put the best of the best in one place. My vision is only the top tier videos- those that gave you an "ah-ha" moment. For me, it's a simple one, but truly an "ah-ha" moment for my game:

I watch this video and wonder why I ever see anyone chipping differently, and why I ever did. If I didn't see 80% of the golfers I golf with have weird-ass chipping styles, I'd even say this stuff is "too simple," but if anyone needs chipping help, this video is it in my opinion. It didn't take much practice to get this down, and now, I hit the shot I want to 95% of the time, and the mistakes come from picking the wrong club and getting the wrong distance. I chip/bump and run from pretty far off the green, down to a 7 iron, sometimes 6. My error percentage with this shot is way better than a pitch. It's such an easy motion, it baffles me that not everyone can do it.

(One of the reasons I'm posting this one is because chipping and putting are the only things I'm actually good at....still looking for those other videos that will change the rest of my game, ha)

I won't post specific videos I'll post some channels instead that I find helpful. From what I gather from today's content compared to what I was taught 7-10 years ago seems completely different. I had a few lessons back in the day and feel the pro that gave them to me did a **** job of explaining why we need to do x. He also never taught me about grip fundamentals (Getting it in the fingers) he literally just said see x knuckles. I think the channels I'm posting keep it fairly simple I feel like most people over complicate golf.

Last one is more content vlog type channel, Guy was a long driver primarily but switch to try and get good at golf. imo has a really nice swing. He has some decent stuff on his channel where he goes round with other pro's. He even caddied for a guy called Steve Surry on the Sunshine tour I think, Talks to a few other pro's as well few little pointers here and there but really good content imo and I highly recommend watching even if you just want to kick back and chill.

If I remember "aha moment" stuff I will post them in the future.

I've been trying this out after watching it a couple times, with mixed results so far. I'm getting pretty consistent contact and have been fairly successful with short chips but I've come up way short on longer ones. Likely just a lack of practice, but hands of stone probably have something to do with it too.

I used to have lots of trouble chipping, but 4 check points really helped me

Open stance
Weight on lead side
Forward shaft lean
Clubhead never passes the hands. (this was the big one for me to stop flip skulls or chunks) DONT HELP THE BALL GET AIRBORN lol

after that it is just messing with ball position for different heights..

He doesn't touch on it, but what was a revelation for me today in my golf lesson:

The way to get the hips to turn properly in the downswing is to basically feel like you're pushing up through the front of your left foot, and that's what allows your left leg to "post up" and your hip to turn around. I was always trying to make that move by just firing my hips, but really feeling like you're launching up through the left leg and using that motion to generate hip turn feels more athletic and repeatable. I liken the feeling to as if you were to try to go from a dead stop to a backwards sprint off of your left leg.

This video does a good job of showing the motion and the feeling I'm talking about here.

This one was also huge for me. I love Athletic Motion Golf videos, def my favorite series for people who are long time players very familiar with the golf swing but can't quite piece together how to get to the next level.

This one focuses on the transition and the two main points being:

1. The transition is a totally separate piece
2. The transition happens way earlier than you think in good golf swings.

I think I always would get to the top, stop (not quite Hideki like but trying to mimic that feeling), then transition while the club was coming down. And I just couldn't control my weight distribution because you can't both shift forward and turn at the same time. This video helped me a ton by starting my transition way earlier so all I have to worry about in the downswing is getting my hips turned through impact.

I actually noticed this quite a bit recently, Like for me I think just past half way I'm already shifting I start to move, Again it's completely different from what I was taught years back or at least I didn't make it out as that. It doesn't really help when when your asked to "Swing to the top and stop" a lot of the time cause it really doesn't promote this.

I'm a fairly short hitter and I think this is mainly because I have a poor Pelvis at set up, Not creating enough space in turn it makes me thrust or early extend towards the ball which is just meh for getting power into the ball.

I've been doing a few dry drills by pushing my Pelvis out at setup, I want to ask because I've never been in this position before am I meant to feel a Strain/Pressure in my lower back/hips. (not sure if those are the right words to describe what I'm feeling) I'm thinking I am because I've never used that part of my body in this way,

I think this is a really good video for the ones who need to hear about it, I guess if your a flipper this might help and also if you are guilty of a slice. Lots of information but very clear.

I’ve watched his latest video as well and the content seems pretty good. Lots of detail but very clear with it.

Bit like the Zen stuff for those who like that natural flow.

I don't think this particular video is anything mind blowing but it may help a few people of the higher handicapper range. Matt is normally a lefty but he has teamed up with Larry to learn golf right handed.

No turn/cast drill is probably my favorite instructional video of all time. At least the one that had the most impact on my own game. Monte Scheinblum has a bunch of fantastic videos on YouTube but this is the best of the best imo.
