Why is Taylor Made Tour Spider more than Taylor Made Spider? Why is Taylor Made Tour Spider more than Taylor Made Spider?

My friend has a spider that he got for $200 (crazy that Putters are so expensive!). Googling all I find are Taylor Made Tour spiders for $300. What's the difference between the two? I might pay $200, but that's about it. I only took one swing but it felt awfully nice.

Is the tour just a newer model of the same thing?

It looks like it's just a newer model with the same name.

I just did a really fast non-comprehensive search because you got me curious and I hadn't seen any of these before. It looks like the Tour versions of the Spider aren't perfectly face balanced. They appear to have some "toe hang", a smaller hosel, and maybe they do or don't have sight lines along the top of the clubhead? The Tour also has interchangeable weights maybe? I don't know if the non-tour models do. Like I said, I just did a really quick search.

I'd definitely do a little googling to try to find out before purchasing one without looking at them. Various models also offer different face inserts which will affect how it feels to you.

Sorry if this isn't very helpful.

Thanks. It's very helpful. I spent 10 minutes googling before finally giving up. I don't know how it's possible, but I'm not a very good googler.
