i don't know the exact details on my clubs.........i will check

i will say here that started using an 712 AP2 4-iron with project x 6.5 shaft that i bought used in palm springs.......... can't believe how well and far i can hit this club - albeit though from driving range mat so far. i am wondering if i'll have consistency issues though. anyway, the better shots are really amazing. i would say conventional swing speed charts would say i can't hit this club but i can. stiffness is one thing but i like the high weight. i am a big, fairly strong person.\\

i will see how it goes with this club when i play the next few weeks... i was at canadian tour event on the weekend and could not believe the number of times that the pros hit 2 or 3 iron off the tee.

I remember seeing that putter when I was a kid, and I'm in my 40's now!

I used to love the Zebra putter. Being able to play with the removable weights on the inside was pretty cool. Of course that was like 1993.

I bought mine about 20 years ago and have never thought about changing. A few years ago one of my golf friends christened it 'that bloody piece of granite on the end of a stick' when yet another putt dropped!

I met a pro once who had removed the sole plate and weights and filled the cavity with epoxy. It had a really nice and unique feel to it. Thought about doing it to mine but never did.

E6 is a great ball for anyone struggling with face to path issues with driver. Which new e6 did you try, pretty sure there are 2 now but no e5?

I have heard that from multiple people now. When I first started playing again I was playing the e6 and loved it. Sucks that they always have to "improve" the balls and fail miserably in doing it.

e6 soft. Supposedly there is also an e6 speed, but I haven't seen any ... not that I've been looking.

I pulled out a sleeve of 2016 e6s this weekend. Definitely like them better.

I used a sleeve of the new e6 soft ones to see for myself. Totally agree, it spins more of the driver than the old one and doesn't actually check up fast enough in the short game to make the extra driver spin worthwhile.

got a really stiff driver shaft (project x 7.0 tour) for my driver...... way too stiff for me vis-a-vis the charts and conventional wisdom but i hit it really straight and i think far enough (not completely sure on the distance but the straight hit is for sure... and can really go after a driver without massive block to the left - i'm LH)

thinking of trying it with irons but then there are more height of shot issues.. definitely go to fairly stiff/heavy shaft though

When it comes to driver shafts I think it's all about the bend profile more so than the stiffness. I mean obviously a tour pro can't swing a regular flex shaft and all.

I finally figured out that I need a soft butt (lol). Spending enough time on Trackman and looking at the numbers is also a lot of it. Most of the speed of my swing is from knee high to the ground and back up to my knees. That part of my swing needs a stiff tip.

To make a long story short I know what to look for in shaft offerings now.

Yes - I have a lot of old clubs!
After I bought my 46 degree wedge I had to decide whether to lose my 4i or my 7w - I think I might sack them both and bring my TM 19 degree burner back in as it is a bit more versatile and looks great to look down at.

Crappy photo alert.

Titleist 716 AP2s 5i-GW
Titleist Vokey SM6 Wedges (56 and 60)
Taylormade Aeroburner Hybrids (3 and 4) - Depending on the course, I sometimes swap out the 3 hybrid for a 3 wood, A Taylormade Burner of the same vintage as my driver.
Taylormade Burner Driver from like 8 or 9 years ago. I've tried replacing it multiple times but it always finds its way back into the bag. If it ever breaks, I may have to quit playing.
Ping Putter
Titleist Pro V1x

The eagle eyed viewers will notice a second 7 iron stuffed in the bag. That is just my rock club.

No change except a new putter and fresh wedges this year:

Cleveland RTX-3. 50, 54, 58 (low bounce on the 54 and 58)

Also using a Taylormade Spider Black putter now

Driver, 3w and irons are all the same. Will got for an outdoor long game fitting next spring I'd guess and see if any improvements can be found.
