It's been a long time since I've shot two back-to-back bad scores. I'm not TOO discouraged, though. Course is gearing up for their big invite next month, which means narrower fairways and pretty nasty rough.

Had a heck of a time with distance. We've been 55 and raining since March, but nature flipped it a switch and it was 80. That ball goes WAY further. On two instances I can remember I hit what I thought was a perfect iron shot right at the pin, but cleared or bounced off the green (into penalty areas).

Actually getting sick of playing in the wind now makes you appreciate how good pro golfers are.

1 thing I have noticed though over the past couple of weeks is I really really really suck at left to right putts, Seems like I pull them quite often. Will find a quiet place on the course soon and just practice them quite a bit.


I also need to find out how to wake the body up in the mornings. Most of the comps or roll ups I play start off between 7-8ish and I feel so slow and sluggish for a good portion of the front 9

wake up earlier than you're currently doing and maybe go for a quick bike ride or something. exercise bike works great if you have it for 15-20 minutes. quick stretch and you should be good.

if i hit my exercise bike, im ready to go as long as ive had 6 hours or more

Pretty average. Windy, so it was challenging, but I didn't have the A game regardless.

I think I shot my highest score around my local I'll do all year.

Don't know what happened. I don't think I even was playing that bad, Like I've hit the ball much worse before and scored a lot better. I think my local is just a bit stale at the moment (I play it to much) and then greens are terrible at the moment.

If I'm honest I just really care all that much, I was playing vs another guy and I really didn't care which is unlike me, normally I'm super competitive and hate when I lose.


Probably need to play a bit less normally squeeze 9 holes in per day if the weather is good.

Best round so far. 44-52-96. Par 70.
3 pars, 3 triple bogies, and first birdie of the year.

Well a bit better past couple of days didn't feel like I was just coasting a long and was actually able to hold some focus on the rounds.

18 this morning +5 Level Par back 9 Was -1 on the back till the 18th where I went long over the green. Really good score considering how hard the wind is blowing.

Not the greatest round back at it. Did finish well by hitting a good 270y 3 wood off the tee (was downwind). Had 241y left and hit a really good 4 hybrid to 8 feet for the eagle. Playing partner makes a putt 1 foot behind me. Kiss of death, I miss.

Sad to hear, Scott. Tough to do anything.

Fourth of July Chapman:

43-38 = 81

Combined modified handicap of 9.2, so right on the money. Front was ****. We didn’t have a single hole where both hit the green in regulation. My partner was having trouble off the tee, and my woods and long irons weren’t helping. No birdies.

Back was really good except….a triple. I smoked a drive to 60 yards on a par 4, and normally my partner is gold there. But he put it in a greenside bunker, I misjudged the amount of sand (there was none) and flew it into the opposite bunker. Partner took two to get it (not reallocate his fault, downhill lie with the lip in his backswing).

Did have a fun eagle on a par 5. Partner had an arguably easier angle, but I had my eye on the 55 yard shot in front of me and said so. Backed it up with the perfect shot in the perfect spot and, with a bit of luck, rolled it in.

In the cart shed before the round a good player with a really good partner told me that his partner told him he thought they could get to -9 gross. Yeah….no. Chapmans are hard. They shot -1, and winner gross was -4.

40-43-83. No birdies, 1 double bogey. 9/14 fairways, 6/18 greens, 30 putts. 70.3/133/6050 yards.

Leisurely round behind a slow foursome. May have set a personal record for finding stuff, picked up a sand wedge, a Pebble Beach ball marker, a can cozy and about a dozen golf balls.

54. 2 triple bogies, one quad, one par.
Didn't find any interesting balls.

Back to the suck.

I found a Hogan yesterday. Hadn't seen one of those in a VERY long time.

44-39-83. 1 birdies, 2 double bogeys. 68.9/121/6,019 yards

More lousy shots than good shots, short game was also off. Best scrambling was to save bogeys.

4-club of July round.

Went with 3w, 6i, 9i, sw and putted with my 3-wood

Nice 89 with a birdie - better than some of my rounds with 14 clubs lately

the pro shop scattered the lost and found bin around the course like easter eggs.
