Won my match today 2 up. Won 2 of the first 3 holes (was giving a shot on both of them) and then the match stayed between 2 and 3 up til he cut it to 1 up after 16.

It's always fun when your opponent concedes eagle putts. Happened 2x today.

Fairly windy day today with more on the way with the tropical system off the coast. Supposed to me 25-35 Monday and Tuesday. As long as there is no rain I'm def going out to play that day.

Today started with birdie, ended with eagle, and **** in the middle.

it's good (and i think lots of fun) to play in windy conditions and try shots you don't normally use.

Not too many 70 degree November days around here. Just a beautiful day. Solid ball striking considering that it's been two weeks.

34-37-71. 3 birdies, no double bogeys. 66.3/117/5,400 yards.

First time under par for 18 holes. Even more improbable than back to back 70 degree November days. Driver wasn't as accurate as yesterday but it didn't matter. Hit a lot of greens. Missed two 3-4 foot putts after chipping to that range but in general putted and chipped well.

Shot -14 in a scramble today. It's one of those where each player gets 3 mulligans. Not bad considering a friend and my shots were used 95% of the time.

Saturday: 45-45 = 90
Sunday: 40-43 = 83.

Both days cold and windy, with more cold Saturday. Only big differences between Saturday and Sunday are I putted like **** Saturday (greens were WAY slower than the week before, and I had a hard time adjusting), and just didn't play well strategically Saturday given the wind (leaving it in wrong spots, not playing right club, etc.).

I wish I could control my high fade, i.e., not hit it when I dont' want to. It's impossible to play into the wind until I can. I've done a pretty good job controlling it to where it is truly a fade as opposed to a push or a slice, but when I'm dead into the wind, every drive just balloons.

Might be breaking from golf for a while, weather-related. This weekend is 20 mph winds, 48 degrees, and rain. I ain't that dedicated.

What a letdown. Was expecting 30 mph winds and it ended up being 15. Irons not great but got up and down on 1,2,4,5,7.

Round 1 of my event was changed to a practice round. After 6 inches of rain the course was actually in pretty good shape.

3 3-putt bogeys and a 3-putt double. Greens were incredibly slow and it took me 2/3 of the round to get used to it.

Was -7 on my quota score sitting 30 of 47. I need to make top 20 to get in the shootout. The good news is my quota number will drop 3 of 4 depending on rounding. Also luckboxed into random draw foursome for today and took 2nd to get $80 of my $175 in bets back.

I managed to miss an 18 inch putt today.

Front 9 was awesome, back 9 not so much.

1 - 500y par 5 - Hit a good drive down the right edge if the fairway. Have 223y in and hit a cut 4 hybrid pin high but 40 feet away. Blow the first putt 12 feet past but back the comeback putt for a birdie.

2 - 365y par 4 - Hit 3 hybrid off the tee and have 133y left. Hit PW to about 15 feet. Putt doesn't break and tap-in for a par.

3 - 327y par 4 - Hit a good drive and have 60y left. Hit the 60* too hard and leave myself 20 feet down the hill. Miss the putt and tap in for par.

4 - 171y par 3 - Push an 8 iron left but the downwind helps straighten it up and it catches the left edge of the green. Had 15 feet for birdie and just miss it, tap in par.

5 - 390y par 4 - Hit 3 hybrid well leaving me 161 for my second. Hit a 9 iron that doesn't cut and am long and left. Hit what I thought was a good chip but it rand down the hill leaving me 15 feet. Snake it in to save a par.

6 - 370y par 4 - Hit my best drive of the day, a low laser, and have 88y left into a bit of wind. Hit 54* but it's way too long and leave myself a 30 foot downhill slider. Knowing this is one of the fastest putts on the green I put a good stroke on it and the last revolution drops in the hole for birdie.

7 - 404y par 4 - Hit a cut 3 wood around the corner leaving me 165y. Hit 8 iron and flare it out way left but it catches the greenside bunker. Hit the bunker shot to a foot for a tap in par.

8 - 164y par 3 - Hit 8 iron into a quartering wind into me to 4 feet. Make the birdie putt.

9 - 470y par 5 - Hit a good drive that just catches the left rough. No able to hit that big of a draw I hit 9 iron to lay up to 70 yards. Hit my 60* which I thought was all over the pin but it drops 20 feet short. Make it for the birdie and the 32!!!

No complaints at all from the front 9. All of my previous 9 hole lows contained at least a bogey on the card.

And now the bad news is that I am dealing with pain in my right pinky finger and down to my wrist. I can cope with it for now but it is getting progressively worse. Good thing I am not playing til Thursday this week.

Smooth 48-42 = 90 yesterday, with three doubles and a triple. I admit when I just suck, but I'm flat blaming the conditions for this one (or rather, my inability to play in the elements). Had sustained 15 mph winds all day, gusts in the 25-30 range, alternating from one hole a bit of sun, to a couple holes just torrential downpour. Had some hail for a couple of holes, that was fun. Greens were soaked, and we have a rule (maybe it's a general rule? who knows) where if you're putting through standing water you can move it to the same distance somewhere else on the green. Even some of the driest spots were still wet as hell, and just impossible to get the speed.

It was monthly stag (hence why I played), and even though our lowest net score on the team was +6, we still managed to win. I'm guessing there will be a score adjustment. I actually helped by shooting par on several of my stroke holes.
