I do definitely need some gloves for my hands though. Do people actually play with warm gloves on? Or no matter what you're taking them off and putting your golf glove on to swing? Other than that I have no issues layering up.
I usually don't play with ANY glove, and just flat hate playing in specialized cold weather golf gloves (just too bulky, no feel), so I compromise and when it's cold use my footjoy raingrip gloves. Speaking of cold....
45-41 = 86. It was COLD. We teed off at 8:00 and it was 34 degrees (surprised we didn't have a longer frost delay), and it just barely cracked 40 by the time we finished. I'm just BAD at cold weather golf, but I want to keep playing through the winter, so I guess I need to get better. It was everything: playing stiff, not playing enough club, trouble reading speed. Should have happened earlier, but as we rounded the turn I realized I hadn't hit a single shot to the pin, and was usually way short, so I started hitting one or two clubs more on the back. I was two over on the back through 15, but a nasty double from the sand and a bogey on the last bumped me above 40.
Did score a Cuban from my playing partner, so I had that going for me.....
