That would be cool. I'm playing Twin Peaks in Longmont. Don't know if you've played it but its kind of a goofy course. Short and not much going on off the tee, greens are all raised and kind of rolly polly with weird artificial mounds right next to them. Its not hard to hit driver-wedge on the green but if you miss you can get some odd chip shots. You can also get some putts with a lot more slope than I am used to. I enjoy playing it but imo its a terrible design.

3 birdies, 8 bogeys

Was able to get a range session in yesterday afternoon. After hitting for about 40 minutes I was no further along in fixing my irons. Anything stronger than a 9 iron im struggling with.

39-44-83 (par 36-37-73). 1 birdie, 1 double bogey. 70.4/135/6,200 yards

Pretty much a standard round for me. Ball striking was fine, a couple shots were less than ideal but I never got in trouble. No penalties. Chipping was mediocre at best, putting was lousy.

New (to me) 6h made a splashy debut. First shot carved out of a thick lie to 10 feet, birdie. Second use missed the green but was within 15 feet of the pin. Third use was a picture perfect high soft baby fade that tracked the flag and left me an easy 3 footer which I promptly missed.

Spent the morning watching hockey at home and working on my putting in the living room. It’d abandoned me last few weeks. Was much better today but I had a hard time reading the greens for some reason. Was making good putts and distance control was great but just couldn’t see the line.

Had a 10 footer for eagle on my nemesis hole, but unfortunately that was another of the greens I couldn’t see the line. I’ll take the birdie there though all day. Had about 190m into a slight breeze into the par 5 and stuck it pin high. Ripper shot.

1 birdie
1 double
7 greens
32 putts

+9 thru 13 holes

no birdies, 4 double

Rained hard overnight. One of the courses was closed so they pushed all tee times to the other. So started 30 minutes late right off the bat. Actually played good to start, made bogey on the 1st then par on the next 7. 9-13 I went double, double, par, double, double.

The last swing I was 115y out and missed the green by 30 yards. Just completely lost my swing. Instead of getting mad I just settled my bet and drove back to the clubhouse. Can't remember the last time I have done that.

Good news is it has rained another 2" since I drove home and there is no chance the courses will be open over the next few days. I need the break.

Score approximate, that's what the card said but I wasn't keeping it and it seems like some putts were given to me. 5,400 yard course, in awful, awful condition. Pretty sure it'll close at the end of the year - it's been slated for redevelopment for a while and it seems pretty obvious that they decided to spend zero dollars on maintenance this year.

On the plus side, it was fun to actually play a course that could be described as firm and fast, added a good 20-30 yards to my good drives. Also got in some good short game practice and if I can remember that good things happen when the clubhead doesn't catch up to or pass my hands around the green, that could be on the upswing.

Thursday evening: 41-44 (85). My short game has really come around and I was eyeing my best score in a long time before I hit the sand on 16 and 17, doubling both. Sand play has been absolutely atrocious, and it's my own fault for not practicing.

Saturday: 40-39 (79). My best score in two years. Ten pars, six bogeys, a birdie, and a triple (adjusted to a double....the sand again....although I was actually happy with my out, I misjudged the slope of the green and rolled into a nasty spot). Funny thing is, I felt like my swing was ****, as bad as it's been recently. I just CANNOT stop pushing/slicing shots (from driver down), and compensating for it doesn't work. I've hit probably 20 buckets with the split grip drill, and nothing. I have a lesson scheduled for Friday to try to figure it out, because the way my short game is now, I should be able to score in the 70s consistently. My short game is the best it's been. I've spent a lot of time the last couple of weeks going to the short game facility and practicing tons of different situations from 50 yards out to the green, just getting a feel for my distances and different types of shots from different lies. Per conversation above, it REALLY helps the score when you get your chips within the 5 ft range every time.

Nice - good to shoot a score better than you have in a while when you feel like your swing is a mess. Also funny how you get the short game in order and the long clubs can suffer and vice versa - shows how important ample practice time is for all but the most natural.

glgl straightening out the long ones and shooting some real good rounds.

40/40/80 par 68 is my best 18 ever.

no birdies, 10 pars, 5 bogeys, 2 doubles, 1 triple.

hole 3 provided some comedic relief. tee shot went 20 yards, 2nd shot went 30 yards, 3rd shot went 30 yards and stopped against a tree trunk. putted off the tree for 4th shot. 5th shot 6 iron from 170 stopped about 10 feet below the pin. made the putt for up and down double bogey.

almost killed a goose with tee shot on par 3 fourth hole. he's ok.

both the front and the back had 4 pars in a row.

2 birdie putts left 2 feet short.

first time out since July 15th except for last week I played 5 holes and had to quit because of emergency.

Sick - the up and down for double after a series of unfortunate shots is always nice but frustrating. Need to take the (likely) dgaf attitude to a lot of approaches/putts

Had something similar a couple weeks ago, 675yd par 5. Cold topped a 3 wood off the tee. 2nd shot was from 625 out from the native. Thought I could get a hybrid on it but was kind of wrong. 3rd shot was from 515 in the rough, was able to advance it down the fairway. 4th shot was decent from ~300 out, but the way the hole is designed you have to sort of lay up. Hit a full sand wedge on the green and 2-putted for double bogey 7. It was weird hitting 4 shots with a wood on one hole.

i know a guy who accidentally killed two geese during the same round with topped shots. technically he critically wounded them with the shot and had to dispatch them with a wedge once the damage was done. wasn't there to witness the events but know others who were.

Saw a dear get hit in the leg on the first hole of Streamsong Black. Luckily the guy sucked and it didn't hurt the deer. Deer did look up with a WTF look on its face though.

Played the Cholla course at We-ko-pa Sunday. Beautiful course, I just wished I'd have played better. 83 on a par 72. Couple doubles along the way. Made one par putt from about 35 ft, but didn't make anything else outside 6 feet. Missed a ton of 5-10 footers which killed my score.

47/43/90 par 68

got out around 715am. first tee shot missed right in the water, 2nd shot same thing. unofficial drop next to the water and then i didn't lose another ball until 18th approach in the river.

there were lots of bogeys between those two holes, and maybe 2 or 3 pars. no birdies.

It's so damn frustrating to start off a round with a double (or worse), and it unfortunately happens to me too often. First hole at my home course is a longish par 4, usually into the wind, with a difficult green. So demoralizing. Second hole is a really short par 4, but with a difficult approach shot and very difficult green (if you're above the cup it's practically impossible to get it to stop); if I already doubled #1, if I don't par or birdie two I feel like the round's over.

Aside....the single most frustrating thing about my club is you can't get out before 8:00 on weekdays, and 7:30 on weekends. Full stop. That's the first time on the tee sheet, and they won't let you sneak on earlier. I used to love getting out before 7:00 and playing 18 holes before work.

holed one out from 100 yards today! to bad I had to punch out on my drive so it was for birdie. 3 doubles, 1 bog, 4 pars, and a birdie for a 6 over 41.

46 at dawn par 34.

course was wet and i had a tough time trying to pick/trap the ball cleanly without digging too deep. the result was a few tops on the first few holes. got a chance to try the new titleist ts2 3 wood on the second hole. topped the first shot, topped the second shot. first few holes were disasters i think i was 7 over after 3 holes. par 4 5th hole got another chance with 3 wood. just tried to hit it straight down the middle of the fairway to see how it reacts. hit a weak pull cut that went about 175. last chance with 3 wood was on 9. hit it a bit more solidly on the intended line. it cut just a bit too much and went about 210.

mix in some pars and bogeys over the last 6 holes and that's my morning.

I’d take that...last month I holed out from 135 for par. Pulled my drive behind some trees, punched too far into heavy weeds, hacked out, then into the cup.

3 birdies, 2 bogeys

Unfortunately not a personal best as one of the par 5's played as a par 3 today, so a par 70 course. My 2 bogeys were missed par putts of 6 and 8 feet. Otherwise not really close to making any other bogeys. Total of 14 GIR today.

Hey_Porter may very well know this course, Eastmoreland in Portland playing 70/122 6100 from the whites.

pretty heavily tree-lined old-school course that's been around for 100 years. somewhat quirky course in that only 5 of the 8 par 4s are real driver holes, and one of the par 5s requires a 200 yd shot off the tee to stop short of a canyon.

had a case of the low/left tee shots all day, just couldn't seem to commit to the draw line off the tee resulting in 6 punch out second shots from the trees. played those 6 holes +8. doubled a par 3 taking two out of the trap, and wiped a 3w second shot on a par 5 into the trash, but all of that was somewhat balanced by hitting a couple of good for me 3w from long distance to save scores and several decent iron shots that make me think that i'm moving past my recent troubles.
