47-49 96. 3 fairways, 3 greens, 37 putts, 3 penalty shots, 3 chip-outs from errant tee balls that ended up at the base of trees. A quad, 2 triples and a gaggle of doubles. 5 pars. Made nothing outside of 6 feet.
Felt like moving up stakes in the pokers and getting absolutely smashed. Felt my attitude and grind was there; just couldn't get anything going. Bounce back day; time to find something and feel some comfort I hope.
Sunday wasn't any better; made two lucky birdies but shot the same 96. Just in the worst spots off the tee all weekend and didn't have my best in any aspect of the game.
State match-play qualifier Monday was also terrible. Hit 3 fairways and 6 greens and had a million putts and didn't get a single up and down. Shot 90 (76 qualified, 77 was a 2-for-1 playoff for the last spot).
Learned a lot; need to really work on my mental fortitude when things start slipping and have a go-to tee shot and some tempo trigger for tournaments/nervous moments.
Next tourney in 4 weekends; hope to play some good golf in the meantime to feel confident again.
