I had about 35 last year, and shockingly have made 0 in about 30 rounds so far in 2019. I have had a bunch of hard lipouts... but weird.

Shot 34-33-67 today. 5 birdies, 0 bogeys. Best I've putt the ball all year with 26 putts. Course is only 72.1 rating/131 from these tees, but still super solid to play bogey free.

Hopefully can putt it half as decently in my US open local on Thursday.

I have never made an eagle. I’ve been as low as a 10hc (currently 11)

Played the quarterfinals in the club match play. I was up 2 after 5, then went back and forth down to even after 9. Was 2 up after 11 then even after 13. 1 up after 14 and even after 15. Halved (**** tied) the last 3 holes and went to extras,

Opponent drove into the hazard on first extra hole so I played the par 5 conservatively going 4 iron 7 iron 54* to 40 feet. Opponent pulled his 3rd after the drop into the trees left, hit a tree as solid as i have ever seen and kicked 50 yards right over the fairway into the rough. He hits his 4th into greenside bunker and gets up an down for bogey. Pin is just below a ledge and I leave it above it 10 feet. I tap the par putt and a trickler horseshoed out.

20th hole 360ish par 4 and we both hit fairway. I hit mine the 8 feet and he misses the green. He chips to tap-in range and I make mine for the win.

Eagled the par 4 3rd hole. I guess the eagle last week broke open the flood gates. 3rd time I have eagled a par 4. I hit the driver 1/3 of the way into the green and rolled out to 2 feet above the hole for an easy 2.

Not sure how accurate the front nine score was, I should have been paying more attention. Back nine should have been, had the two birdies and double and was playing a little match.

Didn't play well but did hit a few decent irons.

Season opening two-day two-man event over the weekend.

Best-ball Saturday was okay; we shot 73; 2 birdies and 3 bogies including both my partner and I 3-putt bogeying our last hole of the day. Mine was from like 20 feet

18 teams in our flight and we were T-4 (with 3 other teams) and two shots back. Two teams at 71, one team at 72.

Sunday was a modified chapman (hit drives, switch and hit second shot with partners ball, alternate one ball from there to hole out).

We played okay; an eagle, 3 birdies but 7 bogies lead to a 74 and we finished 4th gross one shot back of a 3-team playoff for 1st gross. We got the last gross payout spot; so not much but always good to finish in the money.

My game was hit or miss; lots of quality shots but I also gagged two lag putts that lead to 3 putts in the alternate and hit two terrible chips that lead to bogie as well.

Went the whole weekend without a double as team though; so that's nice!

4 weeks until an individual 2-day event and then the Monday following that is the state match-play qualifier; so some time to work the shot game this next month!

i play off a 15 and had my first ever eagle on a par 5 just a few months ago (this is over hundreds of rounds). i've had many reasonable looks on par 5s and several eagles on par 4s over the years, including one from 165 out that i consider to be my surrogate ace (since i've never had one of those either).

42 (par 35). No birdies, 1 double bogey.

With the loss of distance my short game is going to get a workout this season. Good thing it was decent today.

I suck. I went out in 38, birdied 10 and shot 85. Jfc

2 birdies, 2 doubles

One of our courses is closed for aeration so I started on the 4th to get ahead of a few foursomes. Then had to hop past the maintenance crew on several holes.

Finished 3,3,3,5 (par 4,3,4,5). Had 7 iron to the green of the par 5 and hit over the green, then couldn't get up and down. Finishing 3-3-3-3 would have been epic.

Have my semi-final match tomorrow. I have to give 7 shots, including 3 of the first 4 holes so I need to be on my game early.

I didn't shoot anything today because it was freaking snowing. Its supposed to be May, WTF?

Yup. My US Open Local got moved from yesterday to Monday. At least the Denver forecast is starting to look 70s everyday like you'd expect from this time of year.

I bought a ton of cold weather gear earlier this week expecting to go out in 45 degrees, kinda surprised we didn't go for it. Wouldn't have minded.

Currently 1 down for my match, then the skies opened up. We actually stopped once, then played through a downpour for 2 holes, then the course was no longer playable.

I give a shot on the first and I ****ed the hole up royal. Pull my tee show way right near the OB but it hits a tree and stays in. Have an alley to get home in 2 to the par 5. I have 203 and hit 5 iron and somehow pull it back into the trees. 3rd shot I try and pitch back to the fairway and do't get there. 4th I try to run through the bunker and pull it again and hit yet another tree. 5th short of green I chunk. 6th, I'm on!!!! Miss #7 and give up.

Lost to a birdie on the 3rd, another par 5 he gets a shot. I had about 30 feet for birdie and missed, then concede. Won the 4th with a par when he gets a shot. Won the 5th with a birdie, no shots. Lose the 7th making a bogey from hitting #1 OB.

I can def get a victory out of this. His tee shots are very shaky and I just need to put the driver in the bag and leave it there for the rest of the round Monday.

I'm a 15, had a setback with some weird swing thoughts, but went from shooting 83-85 in January to mid-nineties lately. 95 at TPC Las Vegas last month.

Had a lesson and fixed a key problem. Went out and shot 41 on the front (with a triple!). Then made the turn, and was hot, hungry, and getting distracted.

First five holes on the back were: Double, Bogey, Double, Double, Bogey! So I'm 8 over after 5! I was swinging too hard.

So on #6, a 148 yard par 3, downhill, over some water, I said to myself "Just swing easy." I take a 9 iron and hit the purest shot of the day, but of course it's long. A little left.

It starts rolling toward the pin. OK, cool. It's rolling more. It hits the pin, and drops in for the hole in one.

It was my 2nd (been playing about 15 years), but the first one (2 years ago) was a weird bladed shot into the sun, I didn't see it, was looking in the back bunker, finally looked in the cup.

Awful ball striking continues. I guess the bright side is that I've been getting in a ton of chipping practice and I'm seeing notable improvement, got up and down quite a bit today. Putting is also pretty decent, though I lost at least three strokes on putts that somehow managed to not go in when they should have.

Changing my bag setup tonight, we'll see how it goes tomorrow.

i could have written these exact words after my round yesterday. i've been striking the ball as good as ever recently. played a private course with a friend that i haven't played in a couple of years. playing from tees that give me 2 strokes over my HC. 71.2/132 playing 6400

temps were in the mid 90s and it was more than apparent halfway through the round i was drained (we were walking and drinking). it was also apparent i was swinging WAY too hard as the round went on and you can guess the results.

hole 1: birdie par 5 after missing fairway, drain 25' bender downhill. didn't take a single practice putt before the round and had no idea how fast the greens were running.
hole 2: 2 putt par on par 4
hole 3: miss fairway, punch out, 3 putt double on par 5
hole 4: miss green on 160 par 3 over water, chip over trap, two putt bogie
hole 5: up and down from greenside bunker for par

Thanks. I haven't gotten to play Rolling Hills yet, but hear it's a pretty fun course. It's a fun tournament if you haven't played it, definitely try to qualify if you can.

Shot a 34-36-70 yesterday on my 141/74.8 par 72. It was was cold and windy, and I was bogey free through 17, then dumped a gap wedge into the water on 18 like a moron after a nice drive (to be fair, it was raining and howling at that point).

My putter is getting realllly hot for the first time in years, excited to play some tourney golf.

Not a hole in 1 like the rest of you freaks but I am starting to play good again.

Large tournament schedule for me the rest of the month. I finish my match tomorrow morning, have a FSGA one day event on Tuesday, GCAT event on Saturday, and then the State Am qualifier at the end of the month.

Switching from the Eye2s to the S55s made a noticeable difference, even if the score doesn't show it. Nice to get some confidence back, along with ball flight. Found a few hazards and the short game was a hair less sharp.
