First halfway decent round I have had in quite a while, and even then it wasn't great. Had 2 3-putt bogeys. Never scared the hole on many putts either. My birdies were from 2 and 5 feet. The 4 times I hit driver on the day were good.

Planning on playing almost every day this week since I have it off. Next tournament is in 3 weeks.

Very windy day of 20 mph and stronger gusts. Both birdies were reaching 2 of the par 5's in 2. I should have hit the other 3 in 2 but was over green on 2 of them and right of the green on the other. I went bogey, double, bogey on those 3 holes too.

This one is for sure my favorite of the 3 courses on property. Greens are crazy tough but very fair. Course reminded me a lot of Old MacDonald. Also something like you would see in the sand belt of Australia.

Highlight of the day was reaching the green in 2 of my longest par 5 to date at 581 yards. Straight right to left wind and I hit a good drive that I thought cut too much but it barely hung on to the fairway. Had 262y left to the green and I hit a low 3 hybrid that probably landed 40 yards short of the green and kept on rolling.

No score. Mid 40s today and I'm not going to pass up a chance to swing the clubs in January in Michigan. We got a little snow mid-week and that lingered in the shaded areas, otherwise it would have been ideal winter golf conditions. Felt good.

Damn, golf in January in Michigan. I think the earliest I ever teed it up in Minnesota was March.

41-42-83 for me today. 2 birdies, 3 doubles. Tournament and I finished T7 of 16. Not great but it was quite windy out today. Considering how ****ty I have played lately I will take it.

Have a 2 round event next week.

Yeah, some winters we get a fair amount of mild weather, definitely more up and down than Minnesota. Ended up hitting 50 this afternoon. Have trips tentatively planned for March and April so just need to get a warm spell in February to keep the consecutive months streak alive!

Had a real chance to break 80 for the first time today. Knowing how achievable it was with a few holes left really got in my head and I blew it.

I was +5 with a 2 footer for par on the 15th and finished +9 for an 81. Still two shots better than my personal best but man I gotta sort my mental game out.

Putter was poor today but everything else was fairly tidy. 3x 3-putts.

38 - Emergency 9 at lunch today

2 birdies, 2 doubles, 5 pars

Finally feel like I am near a breakthrough in scoring good again. One of the doubles was a hooked hybrid that I normally hit driver off the tee but I wanted to play through a group so I took less and brought water into play. Other double was a mis-club where I thought wind was right to left when it was actually behind me, and into the water it went.

81 with three 3 putts....no reason you can't break 80. **** your mind, just go play golf.

Walked 18 first our this morning. Was cold AF and felt even worse when the wind kicked up at the turn. lol golf.

Unfortunately due to weather and life, haven't been able to play since 12/2. My last shot was a 4 iron punch from 120 in the trees which sliced around rolled up a 3 tiered green and into the hole for an eagle 2. (It was insane...better than either of my hole in ones with 5 woods). Thinking about just ending on a high note? Retire?

Semi-regular social game with golf buddies at a nearby course. Gorgeous spot underneath the mountain ranges. Some amazing sunset views. Played here twice before and I love it.

I was drinking/smoking and partaking in the banter on course and surprisingly still scored well, shooting to my 14 handicap and winning most of the $.

Highlight was a gettable par 5, big push fade off the tee, wind caught it and carried it over the trees to the next fairway. Had 220ish metres to the green but totally blocked. Decided to hit up the wrong fairway at the wrong green, which I did. Took my drop off the wrong green and was left with a super awkward 55m pitch. Over a tree then carrying a bunker with very little green to play with. Managed to stiff it to 8 feet and roll the birdie putt in.

Tourney over the weekend and shot 94-82. I suck.

Weather looks good for Vegas this week. Looking at the double play deal of Bali Hai and Cascata.

i have played a second or third shot up the 'wrong' fairway after missing a drive more times that i can remember. more often than not it seems to be the correct play (and a great way to meet other golfers on the course).

Given the style of tree you’ll often find on the courses here in Aus it’s often a case of if you’re gonna miss the fairway, miss it by heeeaaaps to give yourself an angle

Sorta did it again. Not with the yips or anything but just finished poorly after playing great. Putted a LOT better. Think I only had 29 putts.

Played the last 3 holes in +5 so that sucks, but man I played pretty solid for the most part. Handicap should be back to all time low if not lower once today’s scores have been submitted.

Quite the random AF round. I played waaaaay better than I scored. Had 5 birdie and 1 eagle putt inside of 15 feet and missed em all. When I didn't par I doubled.

Driving was off the charts good today. Highlight of the day was hitting a 3 wood to 10 feet from 246y out on my 2nd of a par 5. Missed the putt of course.

Had a few good rounds in the low 80’s lately, and handicap is a new all time low of 10.6, inching closer to single digits! Not bad for a guy who started on 33.9 3 years ago.

Is winter ****ing over yet?

Ended the round going double, double, double, double.

Handicap is currently a 7.9 trending to an 8.5. I have exactly 2 rounds in the 70s this year, both coming the first week of January.

Seriously. Going south in three weeks for a long weekend and it's driving me crazy that I haven't been able to take any swings since the first week of January.

Spraying it? Short game? Putting woes?

Driving it better than any time in my life. When you hit it 300y and find the fairway or first cut you would think I could score better.

Iron play with the change in irons (from AP2 to P790) has ****ed me up big time. I am sailing greens with regularity now and I just can't stop it. Finally decided today to just swing full and take way less club. Perfect example was having a 172y par 3 today with a touch of hurting breeze. Just took a 99% 8 iron that was just past pin high.

Also my chipping and putting SUCKS. That is a direct result of me working so hard on the long game lately.

the thing i hate most in golf is a three putt bogey...
....and i had THREE last weekend...
...IN A ROW! (including two par 3s)

still finished -3 net with two triples and two doubles, but come on.
