regripped my putter today. that should give me an excuse for playing bad the next 2-3 weeks.

5 boggies 4 pars. Missed a 3 foot putt on 9. Otherwise I played solid. Every boogie was tap in. It feels like I'm getting close to setting a new standard for me.

39-40-79. 1 birdie, 1 double bogey. 9/13 fairways, 9/18 greens, 34 putts.

Ball striking pretty good, putting lousy. This is not a recording. Chipping was a little better than usual.

Last three rounds 80 or better!!! Best golf of my life. This was a very solid round for me. 1 Double on second hole. 1 birdie. Lots of 2 putts in the 40-50 foot range. Docs practice routine sure helps.

37-32=69. Haven't played very well (or cared v much) in 4 or 5 years but actually playing pretty solid this year

45 - 39 = 84. Haven't broken 40 in a 9 (or 85 in 18 for that matter) in many rounds over the years, due in part to playing so infrequently. Feels great to finally do those things again. Makes me want to try to break 80 once and for all.

this course is supposed to be a big deal. Home of the Huskies. $84 on a weekday morning. range balls are extra.

Shot a fairly effortless 76 off the blue (junior) tees (71/132). Generous fairways, interesting greens. Not in the kind of shape you'd think "well that was worth the $$". Can't recommend. Found lots of balls, though.

Played better than the score. Missed 6, 5 ft putts. They were all challenging 5 ft'ers with at least a foot of break. But I should have made a few of them.

My goals for the week are to work on my 30 yard pitch shot and my 5-8 foot putts that break. If its straight in I'm decent. I need to start getting up and down from this distance.

It was too hot to walk today. Surprisingly the part of the game that improved the most was my putting, out of nowhere.

80 off the blues; 72.4/135. Tough course with lots of challenging looks off the tees and very tricky greens. Gorgeous views of the Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier. $76 for both us us including range balls. Only downer, four groups ahead moving in SLOOOOOW motion. Recommend.

Dupont rather odd town. Drive through quickly, try not to stare.

Looking forward to all the reviews of courses I've played.

Glad to hear the home course was in good shape, my good friend played a tournament there about a month ago and said the greens were slow/had empty spots where the grass wasn't growing well.

34 stableford points for an adjusted net of 100, but my one wipe was early on a par 5 so that could easily have made me a 101-102 if I'd played the hole out. Played down in Sydney on very different greens, my old home course (but didn't really play seriously then).
Played off the back markers in a Blistering westerly wind but still found a lot of fairways which was nice. Made two magic bunker shots with my new 60 degree wedge, one of which allowed me to go up and down to save a point after putting my tee shot OB.
Didn't take a photo of my card but from memory I had 6-7 bogeys and one par. My GA dropped again which is also nice. Down to 23.0 now which should take a shot or two off me at my home course.

sometimes you just get it wrong.

I've played Links golf all over the world. I love Links courses. Sand dunes, shore birds, fescue, the sea. Run and gun golf.

Mariachi and nail guns aren't normally part of the experience. Instead of ocean, The Links Course at Hawks Prairie (http://www.hawksprairiegolf.com/) has houses. 900 identical houses lining every inch of fairway. You want your soul crushed?, book a round at this beauty. We won't be back. No idea what I shot, started drinking on hole 3.

I walked and carried my bag with 3 older dudes (65+) yesterday in 90° heat. That was stupid. I started strong but tired and made tired mistakes.

I hit some really good shots, but my misses were in good spots. I started putting well but lost the touch and couldn't get the speed right on my 2nd 9 (3 three-putts).

Had a personal best 3 birdies today....to go along with 3 double bogeys.

My drive is all over the damn place and I just don't get it. for years, it was the only thing I could do with any consistency. Now that the rest of my game has improved, I can't get off the damn tee.

But I was shooting darts today...3 birdies (all on par 4s) of 12 ft., 3 ft., and 10 ft. Could've easily had more, but I just missed 4 putts inside 15 feet.

33 total putts.

Was 2 over after 8, but doubled the par 5 9th for an opening 40.
For the love of Electrical Jesus!

Had a double on a par 3 with an 8-iron in my hand. Was short of the green, made a so-so chip, but then blasted the putt 6 feet past and missed the come-backer. ****ing hell.

Needed to par the 18th for a 79 but doubled that, as well.
