44-43-87. Game is really terrible right now, especially the short game. Must have had ~ 42 putts.

Played two 18s on Friday and Saturday. Friday probably shot around 100 but didn't really keep score and hit a bunch of practice shots as it was empty. Shot 49-53 from 6400 on Saturday, swing felt okay at times. Was playing with a totally new set to me that I put together on eBay so I guess some of my difficulty with the irons was due to that. Nice to get out and play though, some of the earliest golf in years for me.

49 on a 9 hole par 35 today. Actually don't feel horribly about it since I double par'd the first and had to take a lost ball penalty on the 5th.

83 (44-39) on decently hard set-up......

fairly happy..... 10 pars, 5 bogeys, 3 doubles..... all the bogeys are borderline acceptable... the doubles were just outrageous (chunked wedges and some course management). 2 of the 3 double bogeys off very nice drives and the other tee shot was sorta ok too.

everything pretty good... just have to figure out my alignment for irons a bit more.

can definitely feel myself getting there......... i need grass tees to practice very badly. told my local driving range they need grass tees that you pay extra for (in san francisco, it was $6-9 extra i think, but well worth it)

43-45-88. No birdies again.

Ball striking was a little better today but it's still not good. Short game continues to be awful. Putting slightly better. No idea why things have gone so far awry.

41-43-84 1 birdie, one double, no drops, 2- 3 putts...chipping was good, ball striking was poor.

I felt like the round was average. This means my expectations are getting higher.

Where the hell did this come from? Only my second round of the year, played at a par 71 very short course, but still. I've only broke 100 twice (a 99 and 98) and I go out and shoot a 90. Putting was a bit off but the greens were very tough if you didn't get the ball at the right spots. Distance also a major issue for me, but I didn't shoot any birdies or better and I didn't get anything over a double bogey. Very successful round for me.

87 on a pretty tough layout. northview in vancouver BC where they played a PGA event for 7 years.......... almost every green is very well protected.

seems like i find new ways to shoot mid-to-high 80's...... so many holes it seems like my iron wasn't quite good enough then my up/down isn't quite good enough so bogey. so many holes where all the shots were ok, not great and therefore bogey.

some three putts but also saved some holes with decent 12 foot type putts.

definitely need to improve my iron play.

generally very good driving except left the clubface open twice. seems like that's when i try to pound the drive really hard.

i made the 18th in 2 strokes and then 3 putted for par. very happy i made it.

This is getting old. I actually hit the ball decently for the most part but I am just hemorrhaging strokes around the green.

Everything finally clicked. I probably hit 10/14 fairways. Approach shots much improved. Chipping was great. Putting above average.

The best part was I was first off the tee this morning and finished in under 2 hours.

As part of a society I had a couple of rounds at The Oxfordshire a much more swanky place then I normally play. It has a bazillion bunkers and quite a bit of water as well but very few trees and a linksy look to it.

On the Friday practice day I pared the first two holes and ended up with 38 points despite not putting well.
On Saturdays competition I hooked the crap out of my driver putted worse and only got two pars all round ending up with 26 points.

37-44=81

37 is my best ever 9 holes. I was on fire 3 bogies 2 birdies 0 3-putts. At the turn my partners all went home and I played the back 9 by myself. I fid it hard to stay focused when Im solo. 1 double and 2 pars and lots of poor luck. I was making good contact but could not catch a break. Drive it right down the middle and ball is 12" above my feet, on a side hill, in a divot. Or hit it as well as I can and get a weird bounce. I feel like I played well enough to shoot 40 on back 9. This was my last round for probably 2 months. Hernia surgery on thursday. Im going to miss Golf. Have fun out there folks....

Played two rounds at Las Vegas TPC Canyons this week. Love that course, and I get a decent locals discount.

First day it was really windy, but fun: 44-42- 86
2nd day was better...gorgeous day today...maybe the best day in Vegas all year. Went 43-40-83, but 3-putted 18. ��

Hit about 80% of fairways and the wedge shots to the green were good early on and then tailed off towards the end.

One 3-putt from 20 feet for bogey. Blasted my first putt 5 feet past.

The fact that I had no penalty strokes / lost balls on this course is a minor miracle.

44-43-43. 10-15 mph winds first 18 and 20+ last 9. I am terrible at judging when the ball is going to ride the cross winds and when it wont. Airmailed several greens when I thought it was going to land in the middle of the green when I hit it.

48 (par 37). No birdies, 1 double, 1 triple. My game continues to be a complete mess.

Did have a highlight, though. Short par 4, slight dogleg right. I pulled my tee shot just a little, find that it kicked OB. Back to the tee, stripe one. 4th shot goes over the back, leaving me shortsided, chipping uphill off mud. Saw that the rough around the collar wasn't super thick, used the putter, made it (~ 25 feet) to save bogey.

went out for a practice round and decided not to keep score at all.... use it more as almost a driving range session on the course (don't worry I didn't hit too many shots and I'm very good on divots and especially ball marks)...

around where I live grass tees at driving ranges are seasonal only AND a long way from my house (45 minutes) so I need to use the course as a range a bit.

anyway, not keeping score seems to enable me to improve my game even if the first few shots after a minor change are not good.

Do you like to play for a little something when you play ? I'll be out there this summer, and I'm an action junkie on the course lol
