Nice!! I definitely pounded a few into the waves as well haha. I have to say the course was in beautiful shape, particularly the fairways and the fluffy rough which had no resistance and let balls sink right to the ground. Everything was extremely well manicured.
My only complaint would be that some of the greens closer to the ocean had some rough spots. Putting speeds were really inconsistent and made for some interesting reads because there were some dry, sandy patches. Putts along the grains seemed to be rolling on glass, while the uphill putts required a bit extra. The greens, for the most part, were also tiny and didn't give you much to shoot at. It made stopping the ball close even that much tougher.
Overall, I was very happy with the course. I shot a 44 - 40 - 84 (+12). Very good driving and some nice wedge play helped me finish strong with 5 pars on the back. Missing birdie putts is never fun.
A few pics...
The driving range...
Teeing off with the waves crashing in directly over that little sand dune...
The ocean, about five paces off the left edge of the green...
The view from behind the green, looking back on a looong Par 5 with water all the way down the right hand side...
Some very thin lies off the fairway...
