same here..couldn't find a soul to play with so at 10 am I decided to walk on alone...walked 18 with 3 other singles n had a prety relaxing round....exept for the part where I shot 58 50 108....I shoot worsr every round I play....gna try to not play another round til I hit the range a few times...we ll see

Lots of waiting and 4 shouldn't-have-lost balls. Also had my first waist-high ball (feet in bunker). I don't know why, but 4.5 hrs seemed reallllly slow today. I only had 9 putts on the front though. That was pretty cool.

I definitely need to pick up some yardage somehow or I'm just not going to be able to score well. My friends 15yo son is hitting it 75 yards past me ffs. I'd like to not be hitting 3w into longer par 4s.

**** me seriously. I putted like an idiot today, it was so awful. I had like 7-8 GIR, but managed to get 43 putts. I tilted at the 14th..got a double, double, triple, quintuple (?) (+5) What tilts me the most is that i know i have potential.

I have like 30 games lifetime in 6 years or something. This is the first year i play 3 games in a week. Never had any lessons.

Oh well, you'll see me around here this summer. I wanna shoot my first game in the 72-79 range and I'll do everything I can to get it.

Just bought some new clubs for the first time in 15 years-- irons (mp63's) and a used taylor made r9 driver and r9 3 wood off ebay. In my opinion after only 2 rounds with the r9's they should definitely be illegal. How did golf technology progress to this point? Its terrible. Impossible to hit a really bad drive with a r9.

Shaky again. Kept addressing the ball only to realize my shoulders were 25* closed. Lost five balls two in G.U.R which was lucky. On the thirteenth I took the safe option off the tee with a five wood only to hook it into the trees, twice! Add some really poor chips that rushed past the hole and I feel lucky to have got 33 points.
Ended on a high note. The eighteenth a hard dogs leg left to an elevated green. I drove far enough to have a clear look at the green, which is rare for me then hit onto and off the back of the green and putted it down in two.

player a huge Tourney in my club in germany with 100 players today. shot 89 which is good for me. Made me have 42 Nettopoints and due to this i won 1st Price in my nettoclass (of 3 classes): Won a 4-day trip to Turkye for the grand Final of this Trophy in january !

84 today at Tangle Creek.

Tangle creek was one of the toughest walks I have ever done. It was blazing hot and the course is a very very tough walk on a normal day, add all the heat and it was almost unbearable.

All 4's on my card today lol. Played pretty well.

43-38-81. Played the back (par 37) first and for a little over 10 holes I found it. The ball striking was back. I even putted decently.

Played like a complete ****ing idiot today. What a weird 9 holes. Shot 52 with a mulligan on a 33.6/111 rated joke of a course. Couldn't put two good shots together in a row. Finally lag putted better but then my makeable putts all sucked. 2 of 6 drives were shanked like 50 feet to the left, which I haven't done in forever. 1 of them I used a mulligan and just rehit. The other I played from lol.

My long irons were either skulled for 80 yards or pured like 10% further than I normally hit them. My approach shots were all either 1-2 clubs short or long, or just off the green left or right. Took 2 shots to get out of an easy sand bunker with good lie (usually I do fine on these). Got the quad on the par 3 9th that always gives me fits. It's 175 yards and it always has a club wind in you face and left to right. There is a greenside bunker left and a few trees right of the green with low canopies and thick roots sticking up. Every time I played that hole I would hit a 3i or 4i and invariably slice it over by the trees then **** up the entire hole so today I took a 5i and started it at the left greenside bunker and told myself a nice fade short of the green would be fine. I could chip on and 1 or 2 putt no problem. So I of course rip a low liner that buries itself into the sand FML. I think next time I play this hole I might seriously lay up with like a 9i then just lob wedge up to the green and play for bogey. Laying up on a par 3, that's my game. That's what I'm about.

I also 3 putted today from 5'. Yes. And I was putting for ****ing birdie. Smashed a decent drive but big slice into the other fairway, then hit a beautiful AW over a big tree between me and the pin and it settled 5 feet from the hole. Pin high. No break. I have this nasty habit on short putts where I get my line and smash it, so this one went just by the right edge but rolled maybe 42" past. Then I was really just upset and I pulled the next putt like 4" left of the hole another 2 feet past and managed to sink the incredible 2 foot bogey putt. Overall I was happy with my lag putting though. I 2 putted from 22 feet and from 45 feet and my other 3-putt was from 33'.

3 putt bogeys are the worst thing ever... especially from that distance.

I havent 3 putted from within 20ft or less in a while since I changed where I stand over the ball... I used to stand straight above looking down on the ball with it dead center in my stance but ever since the Mickelson book that came with the DVD said to stand with ball ever so slightly forward so I am hitting the ball on a slight upslope I can honestly say Ive become a better putter in general and just am getting a much better and smoother roll overall.

Ive definitely carded more 1 putts than I can remember as of late especially in the 10-20ft range with the subtle change.

That's some very nice scores and natural talent for someone who doesn't play much and does not have a golf background.

40-43=83 from coyote springs blue tees north of Vegas. Hit the ball pretty good aside from two awful drives. One quad bogey blowup or I break 80 most likely.

Yea hobokens tough, yor going to have to travel a bit, I like about 20 minutes away from you and they're are courses all over by me...o have been super busy workin 7 days a week and have obly gotten out to play twilite on week nites, but I'm goin yo vegas next week n wen I get back ill b a lot less busy and well go out and play somewhere...arrrrg I'm on my phone at work sorry for typing like an infant.

Shot a 97, actually drive the ball much better than usual but could not hit my irons for crap. Think I had a total of 4 GIR including the Par 3's

The inconsistency with my irons is really starting to bug me. It seems to depend on the day whether I will hit my irons solid or top/chunk most of them 50 yards. I feel like I am swinging the same way but for some reason it feels impossible to hit an iron solidly some days, and easy on others... I feel like once I top a couple I start trying to focus on staying down, which is when I start digging up turf and hitting behind the ball. When I am going good, I just swing at the target and somehow "know" my swing is going to bottom out just right.

I probably need lessons but I'm too stubborn/broke/cheap

Left my clubs at a friends house 3 hours away after a scramble...Was pretty depressed about that.

So proceeded to go out to a shorter course by me (6100) and shoot a 42-38/80 with a friends old sticks...3 putted four times on the front nine, but was killing the ball with his TM r9 irons. The shafts were a little whippy for me, but was just adding a slight fade to the ball, nothing more.
