Played a new course (for me) today after an ~8 month hiatus from playing an actual round. Greens were fast and I just didn't get a feel for it. Made par first hole and fell apart from there. Shot a 47. I need to get back into my putting routine inside my house.

44 at waterchase yesterday in a ****ing 2:45 round... Slow people are the WOAT. Im a ****ty golfer, but at least I play fast. Ready golf *******s, it's the company league not the us open /mad

Played 9 today, it's 92 out with 45% humidity. Planned on playing 18 but it got too hot and crowded.

I threw away 6 shots. 3 penalty strokes that have no business happening, an extra stroke to get out from under a tree (though there were like 20 huge bees buzzing literally two feet above my head, and my club hits a branch at top of backswing). Then threw away a chip and a putt on #9. I'm not gonna shoot par anytime soon but I'm really trying to focus on minimizing the shots that I throw away.

Some *******s hit into me twice by the 5th hole so I told them to play through. Got the ol' "Sorry man, I thought you were on the next tee" (I was ****ing reading my line on the damn green - I know he saw me b/c I saw him). And the "man, I just hit that one way farther than normal" when his ****ing 3rd shot on the par 5 (fairway wood) bounces on the green and rolls way past me down the damn hill.

Told the guy "why don't you guys play though - that's twice you've driven into me. It's crowded ahead so you aren't getting anywhere."

Then a few minutes later the A-hole is like "Hey you wanna join us?" lol FU. He probably thought I was going to drive into them haha.

Pace was (all walking) 1:40 fwiw and this was in the late AM.

Played another scramble today... team shot 64. Two teams shot 56, then 3rd place was 60. Played well + chipped in on our final hole and won "longest putt" (27'1"... I think). Perfect day (weather + alcohol) and had a great time. Too bad the scrambles are over until Fall.

Played Centennial GC (NY) and shot 44-40/84, only played around 6k though, so didnt feel like a good round.

Started off by hitting my 2nd into the water on the opening par 5 and made a good bogey. I am still butchering the par 5s after hitting my drives very well so that is very frustrating.

Playing 36-45 tomorrow at a course my friend works at, so need to put together some good rounds to start feeling better about my game.

Ive played 26 rounds so far this year and really thought Id be further along than I am, which sucks, but still got alotta golf left to play this year so hopefully I can still see some noticeable difference.

day started great when i drove just off the right side of the fairway, put a 7 to 25 feet and dropped the put for birdie...all downhill from there tho. i didnt hit one fairway all day with the driver, in fact with the exeption of the first hole i had to take a drop for every single second shot. i have the most intense snap hook ive ever seen and it just startred 3 rounds ago...i usually have somewhat of a slice, i really dont understand it.

with the exeption of the driver tho i putted decent, and hit my irons great. although it was an uber frustrating round the silver lining is its the first time ive ever made 2 birdies in a single round and i also put a 9 iron to 15 inches on a 140 yard par 3 and thats the closest ive ever been to an ace..

i need to go to the range until i figure this thing with the driver out cuz its honestly pointless to go out and play if you have to take a drop on every single non par 3...

Obviously horrible front nine, which is the easier of the two. Played quite a bit better on the back and actually struck the ball pretty well.

My ball-striking was absolutely wonderful, hit 8/9 greens and 4/6 fairways. I was pretty dialed-in. Once I got the the green I was awful. Last weekend my putting was great and ball-striking was atrocious, so I worked on the range a lot this week but neglected the short game, and it showed today. 18 holes tomorrow, hopefully the short game comes around.

40-41-81...par 72 71.4/146 and played 6200 yards

lost drives OB on the 17th and 18th holes (and overall had 4 drives OB) to ruin my chance at a sub 80 round which was quite frustrating...hit a bunch of 4 irons off tees as i now don't have a club between my driver and 4 iron (my hybrids have betrayed me and are unplayable atm). iron play was really good, hit a bunch of GIR and didn't have a single bad miss hit. chipped and played very well around the greens, sank a few 10-15 foot putts and only missed one short putt (~2 feet for a birdie on a par 5)

first round where i kept score in a few weeks, played in a few scrambles and my game has been in such a mess that i hadn't been keeping score during non scramble rounds and instead just focused on hitting good shots and not letting bad play frustrate me

playing tomorrow so we'll see if i'm back on track or if that round was just a fluke

Played the best round of my life and shot 78 today, nice rebound after shooting high 90s yesterday.

Second hole on the course, a par 4 430, I hit driver 7 iron to a pin that was like 2 paces on the front. The approach shot came in really low then one-hopped after landing and came up 2 inches short of going in. I wish I could bottle up whatever I felt today, because it sure worked for me.

Nice job, man. Those are some nice stats.

Very excited, I got into a group playing Cascata today in Vegas.

Thanks - wasn't even thinking about that. This may have saved me a stroke, too, since relief from that spot would have maybe given me a shot around the trees to the green instead of having to punch it out to the fairway.

42-45-87 par 72...71.7/127, 1 birdie, 1 double bogey and the rest pars and bogeys

frustrating day, greens were baked out and ridic hard and fast...a bunch of pitch shots and approaches that landed on the front and ran out off the back. putting was pretty diseased, i couldn't get the right speed and left everything short or blasted 5+ feet by the hole, didn't make a putt outside 8ish feet. ball striking was very good though, hit some bombs with the driver that left me with short wedges into the green and didn't take advantage

Just got back from walking 18 holes in 100*F heat. (On the way home, 2 banks said 99 degrees, my car said 101) Probably insane when carrying your bag on your back.

The exhaustion really got to me, as I was playing quite well until we stopped in the clubhouse for a 10 minute break after 9. I love heat and didn't really have a problem with it, but my friend is not a hot-weather person and was struggling towards the end; I finally had him just go to the clubhouse while I finished 17 and 18 just to be safe.

I think I love this game too much.

39-42 - 81 (+9) yesterday on a 74.3/140 7500 yard course yesterday. Managed my first career 5 putt on the 15th hole after hitting it in regulation. Felt like I hit the ball well all day, especially off the tee, but just didn't score. Had two shots on par 3s I felt were really good but both were long, 1 of which went into a hazard so not too upset with my game as the score didn't really tell the story of the day.

Where in MN do you play? I play at the legendary Wapicada Golf Club.

don't really have a home course, play all over the metro area but if i want to play a quick 9 or weekday round after work its usually Brookview...was at The Refuge yesterday and Elk River GC today

54 - 47 = 101

Im quite happy with this round though for most its awful of course, the front got ruined by 3 3 putts which came right after an ok 1 putt. Though I did end with only 36 putts on the round which is standard for me but

I missed 8 par putts, but sunk a ~30footer to save a triple on 9 I didnt shoot anything over a 7.

I didnt have any notable shots on the front but on the back 9 I hit my worst drive of the day, and while I only hit 1 FIR in general my drives were all just off or serviceable but this one was total crap and hit it 30 feet into some muck which I then barely got out of followed by a worm burning hybrid leaving me 150 which allowed me to say my classic "long par putt here" and I hit an amazing 8i to 10 feet.

I also lipped out a birdie on a par 3 I left short and hit a nice bump and run and picked up my only par of the day.

46-54-100. Game in complete disarray. Epic FAIL in all aspects.

Shot a 134 at this course in Pasadena, going with the rule if I shoot worse than a 10 on any given hole that I just pick up my ball and mark a 10 (to keep up with the pace of play and part of Equitable Stroke Control rules for me establishing my handicap in the future). Only maxed out once.

Goal next time: 120s, i think its doable if i pick any easy course.

1. I did this yesterday too. I just couldn't swing the club after about the 9th or 10th hole and really struggled to do anything good. I think the problem was the humidity as I was disgusted at how disgusting I was. It is totally standard for me to play in 105 degree weather as that's just the deal in Texas if you want to play golf, but it's one of the first 100 degree days, I'd played the day before in ~98 degree weather, and I was just spent. I actually had a pounding headache on the way home and was having some tremendous calf cramping. Probably didn't help I was walking around hills all day looking for my damn ball.

2. I made an 11 on a hole yesterday with no penalty shot, and beyond a poor tee shot, there wasn't really much wrong with any of the rest of my shots. Then on the next hole I was inches away from a hole in 1. Golf can be frustrating sometimes.
