89 today (44 on back 9 in my league). Past couple of weeks out had been striking ball very straight and even with a little draw, however ugly habbits come back out and slice ball all over. Even with that I still hit 8/18 greens (good for me) today but had 45 putts. If its not one thing its the other.

played @ harbor links in port washington, ny. shot a 71. first round i've ever had where i didn't miss a fairway, been working on driver tempo so hopefully this continues :-p

72 (+1) most recent round (few days ago)...best 2010 round to date...looked like I might threaten my personal best 69 (-2) until I stumbled a bit on the way in...

39 (par 35). 1 birdie, 2 doubles. More screwy shots. Two chunked irons. Two three putts. Putter from 40 yards (FAIL) followed by left handed putter from 20 yards (success!). Stupid trees.

Last week I had used the same ball for 28 holes (which is amazing for me) and proceeded to lose 9 balls in 8 holes.

That's pretty funny. Golf is a fickle game

Was out yday at a new course for me (Edenmore Co Down)

Still relatively new (only opened in 92') but a nice course all the same. Shot 95. 1 birdie and a few pars in there with some horror scores

Good: Drives were fantastic. Best driving round in years.

Bad: Couldn't putt. Missed countless 5-6 footers.

Played second ever 18 yesterday, stopped counting on the front nine because it was too embarrassing, but got it together on the back and shot 47 which I was ecstatic with. Can't wait to get back out there and try and recreate that form for 18 holes. I've worked out that the best way for me to play atm is to treat every hole as a par 1 bigger than it's actual, I found my swing and overall game was infinitely better when I started approaching the par 4s by trying to get to the green in three and two put.

lol update: I played the next 9 holes with the same ball...so 45 holes. Then, lost my drives on the next to holes, and finished the round playing with a top flite.

Woo. Just started playing 2 months ago and this was about my 5th time on a real 18, 6127 yards par 71.
Me and my friends goal, who started the same time as me, was to shoot 100. Both of us shot a 50 on the front 9 including shooting a 9 on the 526y 6th hole and an 8 on the 446y 8th.
I played a lot better at the back 9 and my friend played a lot worse. Calculated my score at the end to a 100, calculated my friends score to a 102.. We both looked at eachother and I was like..wait you have a lot of strokes on me, let me count again.

Recounted, I shot a 45 on the back 9 for a 95. Woo! That's including a 5 putt I had on the 11th because I was shooting a long birdie and hit my friends ball mid way thru, followed by 4 more putts..gross.

that's my rant. Time to go to the greens for the rest of the week and get my putt game up

Personal-best 39(+4) at Hilldale G.C. in Hoffman Estates, IL. Having only 14 putts really helped a lot, obv.

well you're not missing much, i played yesterday and about ****ing died, it was 103* a little humid and no wind, i couldn't breathe. Probably the worst heat I've ever played in. (and i lived in phoenix for two years lol)

played pretty meh, hit a tonne of slices. short-game was on though and putter was hot on short-putts.

I'm 0 for 2 picking golf courses around Knoxville. I did find a couple of dogtracks though. Shot 81 on both.

Today's course, Whittle Springs featured ducking shots from other holes the entire round as the holes were completely smashed together, and playing 4-5 holes under/through high tension power lines.

The one I played last week, Centennial could've been ok but the greens and tees looked like someone ran a rototiller on them. It at least had some interesting hole designs.

Gonna try a few more in the next few weeks now that I have a little time.

38-43-81. Really pathetic finish, bogey-bogey-bogey-triple-bogey.

Then again we had the course to ourselves which isn't exactly common in the middle of the summer, especially on a perfect evening. A nice relaxed 3 hour round.

42-42-84. 2 birdies, no doubles, 1 triple. 8/13 fairways, 8/18 greens, 35 putts.

Lousy ball striking day and never felt good at all with the putter.

That's including a 9 on a par 3 where I got stuck in a bunker. Was hitting it a lot lot better off the tee, but I really need to learn how to hit a 3-wood because I think i'm giving up a few shots taking a 5 iron on every par 4

First round back after a week of sickness and completely ran out of gas on the back side.

84 today. I'm struggling scoring. I hit some really nice shots that just don't work out and follow them up with chips that don't go the right distance and then follow that up with putts that lipout. I hit the lip like 5 times and probably had 4-5 iron shots that I thought were going to be pin high on the green that ended up not even close.

7 over on Boundary Oaks in Walnut Creek, after 15 holes with a triple on #9 and a double on 15 from the middle of fairway with 5 iron. Had to quit b/c darkness. The 9to3 drill and practice has helped tremendously with shots inside 125.

Played a really tough course today, Tangle Creek and stunk it up large. Smoked my opening drive so I thought the day was going to be good, I was wrong.
