1 birdie, 1 triple, 4 bogeys. Everything was just solid today. Only big error was when I tried to play a draw w/ my driver and I push-cut it into the trees, earning my triple bogey on the day. Was especially refreshing to play a course that isn't muddy/underwater.

Best ball tourney. We used both my drive and approach on a few holes. Made the back fringe in 2 shots on a par 5 that I hit 3 wood 5 iron(very downhill second shot).

Many birdie opportunities but we struggled to make 10 to 20 feet.

+3 final score.

38-44-82. 1 birdie, 3 double bogeys.

Highly rated course (Tullymore), in great shape, first class experience ... I just don’t love the design. Extreme target golf, many blind shots, lots of visual deception.

2 birdies, 2 doubles

Irons not sharp. Had a lot of 30 foot birdie putts. The doubles were both dumped in the water, one on a tough downhill pitch that I bladed and then off the tee on the next hole.

Sad news as they removed the chapman part of the tourney. Now its 9 holes modified alternate shot, 9 holes scramble, 9 holes fourball and 9 holes singles.

We are gonna have to give 2 shots in alternate shot, 1 shot in scramble. They will play off of me in fourball so my partner will get 1, and opponents will each get 2. Then singles I will be giving 2.

Based on the 9 we are playing for singles it's gonna be pretty tough for me to win giving 2, unless the opponent dumps it into the lateral a few times off the tee.

45-44-89 Par 68

Triple bogey on 4(4 putts from pin high fringe) and 11(lost a ball left when people on the tee let me play through). double bogey on 2(flew the green from 70 yards 4th shot) 13(put one in the pond) and 18(Put one in the river).

The rest was remarkably clean.

5 iron to 3 feet from 182. 6 iron to 5 feet from 173 from a divot.

No birdies but I was close 4 times.

39-38-77. 2 birdies, 1 double bogey. 69.1/130/5940 yards

Other than some dodgy short putting and a couple awful 6h shots on par 3s a pretty solid round.

So our match ended up being chapman on the front and scramble on the back. For Chapman you picked your best ball after the second shot and alternated in through the hole.

We were 1 down with 3 to play plus opponents had a shot on the 9th. We win the 7th with a 20 foot par putt, they still had 8 feet for bogey. We halve the 8th a tricky par 3 by getting up and down by making a 15 footer for par so all square going into the last.

We are on in regulation with a 30 foot downhill putt and they are left of the green. They flub 2 chips and finally get on in 5. We 2-putt par and steal the match. Never thought we could win the 9th giving a shot, was just hoping for a halve.

Back 9 scramble both my partner and myself play pretty awful and we have to give them a shot on a hole. We shot -2 and lost 3 and 2.

Overall matches are fairly close.

so i got my settlement value the other day (more than i was expecting) and returned rental today and bought a new car. golfing tomorrow. it's worked out better than i was expecting. and soreness is basically gone.

that said, can anyone tell me how to post pics? i don't know if i mentioned it but the lady was claiming i hit the truck in front of me before she hit me. lolololololololol. the damage pics tell a different story.

Had lots of 3 putt bogeys, 3 putt doubles, even a 3 putt par and a lefty 3 putt. Only birdie was a lefty 15 footer on the last hole.

If I had brought another putter with me I’d say it was at worst 50/50 that my current putter would have ended up in the river.

Fairly smooth format. I generally drive it about 20 yards or so further than my partner. On both of the par 5's I had to hit the 2nd from the trees, basically just hitting it back into play as an emergency in case his shot was no good. Ended up happening once as he clipped a tree trying to cut the corner.

One slight flaw with our chapman game is that I was the one with all of the birdie looks and I an not nearly as good of a putter as my partner. I had the birdie putt on 6 of the 7 par 4s and 5s.

Edit: That also tells you how subpar my iron game was today. I did hit the green on 4 of the 6 greens where I took the birdie putt, just not as close.

Evening 45 par 34. Few 4 putt double bogeys, otherwise pretty clean. Didn’t lose a ball woohoo.

Good tee shots on 1,2,4,5,7,8.

Bad tee shots on 3(push cut), 6(overcooked draw 3 iron from 195 Yard par 3). 9(push cut).

Good approaches on 1(pw to 15 feet) 2(4th shot from 60 yards left 7 feet for par). 9(54 degree wedge to 2 feet from 105 after punching out of the trees).

Up and down sand save on 6 from 25 yards away left 5 feet for par putt which fell.

Otherwise my putting is pretty bad, which is amplified by the fast dry greens. Thinking of getting a Medium size mallet putter.

Lost fourball match 1 down. Had to give the opponents 2 shots. Hit a lot of drivers off of the tee and had a ton of 50-75 yard approaches. So yeah driver was working, irons not so much.

Won the individual match 3 and 1. Should have been even worse than that but a win.

We ended up winning overall 70.5 to 59.5.

Did manage three really big drives including a 330y one. If it was a long drive contest I would have liked my chances more

Scruffy round saved by birdie on 16, great par on 17, chip in birdie on 18.

Have another fourball event on Monday at Sara Bay, a (what I assume) nice Donald Ross design. Both me and my partner are 1 caps. I see one of the people we are paired with is a +4 so that should be a treat.

Played a qualifier tournament yesterday and started poorly but somehow actually battled and held it together. 43-37 80 (par 71 6,700y 70.6/128). Hit 11 greens but made nothing and actually 3 putted 3 times for bogie which sucks but scrambled okay and made some solid pars from way out of position so it all balances out. Still didn't break 80 in a tournament of qualifier this season but had two rounds of 80 so those are solid at least. A few more chances left, perhaps.

Need to work on my lag putting; I consistently come up short on long putts especially ones that are overall uphill - and of course the occasional blast it way by.

made the turn net even and ended up walking off the 16th tee box (125 yd par 3) after squaring up my debt and went straight to the parking lot. hit six consecutive irons sideways and had enough.
