Yeah, like six times. All were at least acceptable, two were among my best shots of the day.

(Full disclosure, I have years of dod experience, dating back to when I wielded a Taylormade R580. It was a handy tool to have in the arsenal at the course I belonged to and I learned from a true artisan. I just don't need it very often any more, this was the first time I've hit more than 1 in a round in a while.)

do you play the typical hard cut with them or something else?

Just depends on what is needed. For me, the hard cut is by far the hardest option to execute, so I'd only try it if there weren't major trouble on the left. No reason to make things worse if I double cross it. I miss left more than right anyway.

Yesterday I needed to hit low hooks twice, otherwise the rest were open shots. For those I'm playing for a pretty straight ball, though I pull it more often than not.

Ordinarily dod wouldn't be my choice on open shots, but into a 30+mph gusty wind I wasn't getting more than 150 yards out of any other option. Hit a par 5 in regulation with driver/driver/driver, just like the architect called for I'm sure. Of course I promptly 3 putted.
