I don't consider myself to have played enough rounds for much in the way of an established handicap. I got a membership at my local course last November and before that I played a small local nine hole course where I tried to shoot just a single round at even par, but the best I could do was +1 over many rounds. On average I might shoot like +7 if I tried really hard, but could do worse if I was lax or frustrated. On the regulation course where I got my membership I probably do no better than bogie golf, but not too long ago I had a round where I was +3 through eleven, but ended up slipping and was at like +11 through 17, but was still satisfied by that round (it was too dark for the 18th).
My seven iron is typically like 150 yards, but if I really flushed one I could hit it a bit further.
I can't say too much about the fitting data-wise, because I didn't understand the process the guy went through. He marked the bottom of the club IIRC to measure something about the swing as it contacted the mat, and also measured my arms I think. Also, I was hitting balls into the screen with the launch monitors by the clubhead at address as well of course. It's a steel shaft if that helps, but that's about all I can say about the shaft without trying to find a tag or sticker that contains any other info.
If p790s sound "advanced" I should note that I was somewhat adamant about getting a club that was high quality and that a more advanced player might want. I had the TaylorMade Rocketballz irons before that, which I liked, but had broken too many heads and simply needed a new set. I decided to go with TaylorMade again.
That's about all I can say for the moment absent digging up additional info.
TLDR for some perhaps, but additionally, I recently got a 60 degree Mizuno wedge with 6 degrees of bounce to get a higher lofted wedge and low bounce thinking that would help in trying to learn a flop type shot.
My inspiration for that was a pretty funny story, and btw again I was adamant to a different guy at the same PGA store that I wanted a club that one could hit a flop shot with suggesting lower bounce might be the way to go? Anyway, I had recently hit a string of spinny soft landing flop shots on a practice green, which was unusual as I would normally just shank them, but also I used my 54 rather than 58 wedge, which made it doubly odd, but the 54 has a lower bounce, and with admitted confirmation bias, I discovered at least some source online suggesting a lower bounce wedge would be more ideal. The funny part is that I was only practicing flops because I was too tipsy to drive home from just a single tall can of strong beer I had playing a round on the previously mentioned local nine hole course. Needless to say I am not a drinker in any sense of the word.
