Tip - you fill the divot with a thin layer of sand, you don’t fill the entire divot up to the top. I see many people eager to do the right thing only to use three times too much sand.

I think the logical reason for sand bottles on bent courses is for the circumstance when you don't have an easily replaceable divot, it's in a bunch of pieces, you launched into a water feature, whatever.

Or maybe it's so people too lazy to retrieve a divot might be willing to at least grab the sand bottle.

Or maybe it's so you can clean up after people who refuse to replace their divots. If I go out in the evening by myself I like to grab a bottle (if walking) or extras (if not walking) and kill time filling in old divots. One of the guys I play with is obsessed with filling divots on the par 3 tee boxes whenever there is a backup.
informative, quick article. thanks.

Any recommendations for push cart bags to go in my new clicgear 4.0. And has anyone gotten the clicgear B3 bag and believes it is worthwhile for the price?

TXS for any input!

I'm realizing that the clicgear 4.0 push carts straps are too short and am already having trouble finding a bad that will fit.

how big of a bag are you trying to put in there?

Yeah I'd imagine that the 3.5 isn't smaller than the 4.0. My cart bag fits in nicely, although some people would rather have the iron on the other side of the bag.

Actually, I read a number of reviews with complaints that the 4.0's new silicone straps were too short. My stand bag doesn't fit well and I've read that generally a cart bag is preferable.

I went to the store today and found an Ogio bag that would fit and almost bought it. But just now I realized that they had the Ping Traverse which was recommended by this guy https://golfsidekick.com/gear/best-g...gs-push-carts/ .

Either one might work, but the Ping has a large enough divider for a ball collector tube. It's funny that the guy in the article said the zippers were high quality, but also a drawback because they were plastic. The Ogio seems to have really nice zippers, but no divider big enough for a ball collector tube. But it does have a side pocket for what I assume to be alignment sticks and the like, but maybe the tube could fit there. The idea of carrying the tube in my hand to practice short game bothers me since all these purchases are largely about convenience, but I guess many would consider it a minor nitpick.

Regardless, the push cart seems pretty solid and folds up nicely.

I didn't know Rodney Dangerfield was in Caddyshack . I might have to check it out.

"I'm wondering if anyone ever passed in a titleist 3 wood head cover late in the season? I asked about it a while back with no luck, figured id give it another shot "

(Clerk looks around in random office boxes and mutters something innocently and disappears into the back room)

"No luck out back but you can have this one"

handing over a seemingly brand new titleist head cover, with a smile, thats some a+ ****.

Bought a pair of New Balance shoes from Rock Bottom via eBay. Less than $30 all in.

Looked at the Rock Bottom website, they want $65 after discount with free shipping if you order direct.

Even got 5% cash back for using my card via Paypal.

Feels like I should have cleaned them out but I'll leave some goodies for others.

So I managed to fit my stand bag on the cart. I just have to pull the top strap really taut and make sure the kickstand pedal is flush against the lower saddle, but the cart is working out really well, and I'm glad I got it. Golf is much easier when I don't have to carry my bag on my shoulders. After 18 holes I felt completely wiped out and even had muscle cramps when I carried, but now I anticipate 18 holes to be a leisurely walk by comparison.

It's not a solution that works for me but the push cart has to be one of the five greatest inventions in (relatively) recent golfing history.

The Ventus was THE shaft of 2020 wasn't it? I need to check out the bend profile on that one.

A lot of higher swing speed pros were swapping to it, so I'm eager to try it. Haven't come across a place to hit it, so just pulling the trigger. Got it from JD's clubs off instagram. Friend recommended him. $900 total with a $350 shaft, and the single diamond heads are going for $800-1000 on ebay.

Only been able to hit it for a bit on a Trackman simulator. Numbers/flight look great, love the 440cc head (never once liked the look of a 460cc head). Excited to get it out to Florida in a month or something, or maybe AZ sooner.

Also update on the PXG blackjack putter I bought impulsively in like early December. Thing is unbelievable. I've never hit more putts dead on line in my life than I did down in Florida for 10 days. Have the long neck @35 inches (have played 34 inches for as long as I can remember). Feel like you can't twist the face off line if you try to yip the damn ball. Thing looks very playable too, similar to the newer spiders from taylor made, and also has some of the best feel of any putter I've hit. Good purchase.

64 degree Cleveland RTX4 wedge. Was in Grand Rapids today and Maple Hill (a big retailer) was having their annual liquidation sale so I stopped in. Price was good so I grabbed one to mess around with. Probably no slot in the bag for it, but if it gets me out to practice even a couple times it's worth it.

I found a 64* Vokey with low bounce at the store a couple years back. It lasted all of like 2 weeks but for $36 or whatever it was, more that worth trying it.

I really need to custom order a 58 to match my other wedges, have just been too lazy to do it.

This is definitely a mess around club.

Adidas ZG21 Wide Golf Shoes
COLOR: Cloud White / Dark Silver Metallic / Silver Metallic
SIZE: 12 / Quantity: 1

Also bought a "chipper." Some Top Flite with "maximum forgiveness." Don't laugh, it's my bugaboo. When I was paying I asked the guy at golf galaxy "we're in the judgement free zone right"?

nice Booker. is it a 3.0 or something similar? you can get almost any replacement part you'd need (especially the brake wire/assembly) from their website for cheap.

Yeah, it's a 3.0. Brake works fine, cart really looks like it has very few rounds on it. Currently having fun browsing the clicgear website looking at accessories.

i also have a 3.0, and doing a little research on the web i'm guessing i've had it for around 10 years and have used it for several hundred rounds. mine is still just fine, wearing parts like the break wire having been replaced.
nice purchase (not knowing the price).

They're hard to find, I just happened to get lucky and catch the listing not long after it went live. Seller said that they'd had quite a few inquiries after mine. It wasn't cheap, but still half the price of buying new and if I decide I don't care for it I should be able to get most of my purchase price back without much difficulty.

I'm optimistic so far, the fact that the handle height is adjustable alone makes it 100x better than the cheap one I bought from Dicks years ago and dumped after very few rounds.

Thanks for the tip on the brake wire, I'm sure that'll need to be replaced at some point. Any accessories you particularly recommend?
