Any opinions on this glove and also on the website (reliability)?

https://www.golfdiscount.com/pro-gol...her-golf-glove

I've got eczema on my right hand and am going to try and wear two damn golf clubs now, since my skin gets so terribly dry and bleeds. I would rather not shell out $45 for golf gloves every few weeks so I'm trying to find less expensive options.

MG gloves are awesome - durability and comfort can't be beat for the price

How are their balls? Legit? What are Logo Overun balls?

These alignment sticks were delivered today:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082N7L7QN..._hK-6EbYSDCXAF

I like that they can be disassembled to half the size. I also like that there are 3, so I can in theory go to a field and stick one in the ground as a target while I put the other two on the ground. Green might not be the best color though. We will see.

I have never played their golf balls but I know people that have. Pretty much the same as other balls like Vice or Snell.

Logo overrun golf balls are brand new, just have some corporate logo on them. Nothing wrong with them at all.

If you go the new shaft route look for a Project X EvenFlow Blue. They were stock shafts on a lot of the recent driver releases and you can probably pick one up fairly cheap as people throw their own shafts into them.
Moved it over here, Scott, since it's going to be a purchase. I'm researching now, and I see what you're saying. I can totally "install" a shaft on my own with the adapter wrench (which I have).

What stiff shaft do you recommend for a 7? Amazon looks like it's got a bunch that will work, but I have no idea what to get. IIRC, Aldila is good, but I don't know any others (other than Graffaloy, but I don't think those will work with this driver).

Just because the EvenFlow works for one person doesn't mean it will for the other. It doesn't even mean it's a good or bad shaft.

And there's no way anybody here can recommend a shaft for you. Haven't seen the swing, haven't seen the numbers, etc. Doesn't matter what you're handicap is. There's a lot of "good" shafts out there, but the question is, are they good for you?

No, you cannot always install your own shaft with an adapter wrench. All the club companies require different adapters to install into the head. You cannot simply plug a shaft from a Ping driver into a Taylor Made driver. You have to change the adapter at the end of the shaft.

Because of this, you can install any adapter onto any shaft and make any shaft "work" with any driver. But of course you have to know somebody that knows what they're doing to properly install the adapter.

edit - just saw the other thread. The R15 is over 5 years old. Why spend the money on a club that is obsolete?

BO is right, of course.

But if you're determined to go cheap, you can buy a used shaft with the correct adapter from an outfit like Global Golf, on eBay, or through a forum like GolfWRX. If you know any golf nerds you might find someone with a stock shaft lying around that they swapped out -- or they may just have a R15 in the basement. If you had a Titleist head I'd ship you a couple of my rejects to try.

I haven't owned any TM drivers lately but from cursory research it looks like they changed their adaptor at some point so if you do buy a shaft make sure it has the right one!

Bo,

It will only be obsolete to people who get new clubs regularly. I don't. It'd be an upgrade over my Burner.

As for my swing, picture a slap shot using a golf club. I'll see if I can find a video my kids took of me swinging a short iron.

I watched some videos today about reshafting the R15 and have already admitted I cannot do it myself.

Booker et al,

I don't need the top of the line shaft, but I would like a reputable maker. I remember Aldila and Graffaloy from my work at a private club 15-20 years ago.

I was quoted at $110 for a good stiff shaft and they'll do all the installation, which is fine. $110 for a driver upgrade seems reasonable.

I hardly ever get new clubs, so this is like a belated Father's Day gift to myself from a friend who already upgraded.

No worries. In these threads I feel my purpose should be to educate in club building discussions. In the end it’s always up to the customer to decide.

They finally arrived today. It took 8-9 days to get out of Texas, but I think that's the post office's fault, although "fault" is too strong of a word given what's going on w/ Covid. I don't blame anyone. It's just how it is these days and that's fine.

Unfortunately I have to return them since the large (which is a size I have worn for years in other brands) is too big. Do they typically run big? My wife wants to order some as well and we want to order the correct size.

BTW, the quality and feel seems to be just as good as any other Caberetta leather glove that I've ever bought. I see no reason why I wouldn't buy a dozen for each of us, assuming we can narrow in on the correct sizes.

Replaced my 59* Wide wedge from Wilson Staff (sort of like a K Grind). Have a few things to adjust out of the bunker, but feel super confident greenside with this new wedge.

Also put in an order for PXG 0211 irons and a 0811X Gen2 Driver. This ~1 month wait feels like Christmas Eve every day.

Ordered one of these Sunday. I've wanted a Scotty forever but couldn't ever pull the trigger. Instead I've always bought used putters from buddies. That finally changed. Ordered it with something other than the stock grip so might take a few weeks to show up. I am excite.

lol, technically you didn't buy the tees

I pulled the trigger this afternoon on a new hybrid. Right now I have an Titleist 818 H2 with a Tensei White. Distance is highly inconsistent for me and having a Tensei White in it (lower launching) it just doesn't seem right.

Ordered a Ping G410 with an AD DI 95x

Also in the no purchases lately camp. Debating whether I want to buy a dozen ProVs -- I found a couple and played them lately with good results and I found a sleeve in my collection of new balls. Miss the days when I had shop credit that I'd use on golf balls just to use it up.

I bought 2 more, but I bought one size smaller than I normally wear. Seems to be a better fit. They arrived today. Works good for me. Now, once we get my wife's size down I'll order a bunch more. I still have the larger ones since I can't really notice anything when I'm swinging the club.

Borrowed my brother in laws hybrid the other day and what a difference it makes hitting balls out of the first cut. I'm pretty much a beginner (28 handicap) but any hybrids you guys recommend for a decent price? Weirdly I had trouble hitting it off the fairway relative to the rough

Also what is "flex" when buying a golf club? Dicks has a Callaway 5H on sale for $99 but it only comes in senior flex. No idea what that is

I played with the Taylormade which they have For $150 too. Would you recommend a 3H, 4H or 5H if I was only buying one?

The numbers on the hybrids are pretty much the same in terms of distance as the numbers on the irons. A 4h goes about the same distance as a 4i. So if you're only going to get one hybrid, replace the longest iron in your bag.

Flex is how stiff the shaft is, and what it means is that the farther you hit the ball relative to others, the stiffer the shaft you need. So roughly if you hit a 7-iron 165 yards or farther you need a stiff shaft. If you hit a 7-iron 135-165 yards you need a regular shaft. Shorter than that and you could use a senior shaft. Those are rough estimates but you get the picture.

I would think a 3h or 4h would be more useful than a 5h. What clubs are currently in your bag?

Obviously you would want to replace your 3i with a hybrid before or at the same time as you replaced your 4i. The vast majority of golfers have no business hitting a 4i on down.

The longest iron in my bag is a 5i and has been since U.S. Open sectional qualifying in 2005. I currently have a 4h and then transition into a 5w. Carry the 4h 210 so it's not like I'm bunting them around. But I think it's a good indicator of how players are silly for carrying long irons.
