So I've had my clicgear this thread recommended on the course a good amount of times now and love it. Makes walking so easy and so much faster. However 1 thing that's driving me nuts is the straps and I can't seem to figure them out. I've watched the YouTube's. Think a simple click strap (like a backpack for example) would work way better

Yea, I've no clue how those 3.5 straps work either. The 3.0 which I've got have sensible straps that simply lock together.

I've had the new ring-shaped ones a few times when renting trolleys when out travelling and they make no sense. I just try to find somewhere to loosely fit them together and hope the terrain don't get too bumpy.

Don't know why they changed from the old type which worked perfectly. I see the ads for the new kind go "you can adjust the length" but... they're elastic bands... adjusting is kinda what they do automatically...

Lol glad I'm not the only one! For a cart so highly recommended I'm surprised the straps are a complete disaster

Is it the one with a ring on one side and hook on the other side with elastic bands? With it unhooked you just pull the elastic through the opposite side of the ring to make it shorter so that it is snug when you hook it together.

Anyone have any recommendations on indoor golf balls? Looking for something I can knock around the house and not break too much stuff. Preferably something on Amazon.

Yea I think that's the one 3.5. It doesn't actually hook though. Like nothing clicks or locks in

Srixon balls buy-one get one dozen free (2 free dozen limit) on their website through Father's day. Code 'bogo' - works on all balls it seems, including Z-stars

Never used those, but the performance looks similar to Pro V1 and at essentially half price with the BOGO vs the Pro V1 prior generation, that's a nice deal.

On top of that, the way I lost balls on Sunday I don't need to be spending $3.50/ ball when I'm not on my game. With my wife playing now, I'm looking for ways to cut costs!

Titleist never runs a similar sale, do they?

I think titleist considers their $40/doz year-end clearances to be a sale. I don't think I've seen Pro Vs much better than that.

The Z-star is a good ball; I'm not good enough to know the difference. I got 4 dozen of the Q-star tour.

Thanks. I was using the data from this website to compare balls. My spin rate is awfully high in general and I have found that a lower spin rate ball does help my drive as long as it's on a day that I'm hitting consistently. Otherwise I'll just use a cheap one if I'm fading way right and out of bounds

Yea I've watched that and the other video on youtube 100 times. I mean I figured it out but it's clunky and annoying and the straps are all over the place. A simple click strap or something like an airplane seatbelt but with a 3 pronged click thing like on a backpack would have worked way more efficiently imo. Like I said at least I seem to have figured it out though, just should be way more simple.

Anyone have any experience with the Callaway Atlas carry/stand bag? I saw the cart one in Dick's and loved it but the carry/stand seems to have less compartments for clubs at the top than the cart one. Is this pretty common? Assuming all other features are the same (including the insulated cooler pocket which I desperately want)? Golf Galaxy has one of their 20% off email sales right now so was thinking of pulling the trigger.

Ok so I'm in the market for a bag. I'm a very beginner golfer. I loved the Callaway Atlas Cart bag but from this thread learned that cart bags are old man bags and not the way to go. Their same exact bag does not have the insulated cooler pocket that the cart bag does, which for me is a necessity. Obviously when you play the big courses and get a cart with your friends the cooler is not an issue but because I'm a beginner I find myself playing Friday afternoons on the smaller courses without a cart and walking with my clicgear so would like something I can throw a few beers in or a couple waters when the heat gets more intense.

So what bags do you love? Obviously I want the insulated cooler pocket like I said, and deep down I know I'm gonna want a stand so a cart bag probably isn't ideal even if I loved everything about. The other features I don't even know what I'm looking for since I'm a beginner but just know I want something that is light and has plenty of room to separate my clubs well.

I picked up a couple dozen of the Srixon Z star XV with the BOGO code (thanks for that. I never would have known I "needed" new balls). So $2/ball instead of $4. Hopefully that along with the couple sleeves I have of ProV1 last all season 🤞

don't limit your bag choices because of a cooler.

you got a clicgear but you obviously haven't looked at all of their accessories.

i'm partial to sun mountain stand bags but i also don't care if i have a separate divider for each club. i use a 3.5 stand bag in the summer and the H2NO bag in the winter. i've had both of mine for a few years so i don't know what sun mountain is currently offering.

Lol I can barely click the damn straps together. Of course I havent looked at accessories. Sounds like I need to. Are they pretty easy to put on?

beats me...haven't tried them. but they sell a cooler that can attach to your cart so you don't need to buy a bag that has one.

Lol I was only kidding about the latter part though it is weird the company site doesn't have a link to buy their items. Golf galaxy reviews weren't great and one mentioned it being difficult to put on and take off the cart. Will prob buy anyway obvs but that's one of the things that worry me. Anyone in here have it and would recommend?

Honestly, I would get both if you think you will want to carry your bag once in a while. Unless you just want the stand for some other reason?? Just get a super light cheap carry bag with a stand and then get a really nice cart bag for walking with your clicgear or riding. I really like the Ogio bags myself. Sun Mountain is another great option.

HERE is an example of what I would say is a cart bag with a stand.

This is actually a great point. I already have a cheap old stand bag so maybe I can spring for a cart bag since I'm mostly just using it with my clicgear and big courses where we get a cart anyway. I got the consensus from this thread to stay away from cart bags, but maybe I get a nice one and keep my ****ty old stand bag for the odd time I'll need it? Do you personally have a cart bag?

Also are Dick's and Golf Galaxy the same company?
