I bought a couple of Mizuno CLK hybrids earlier this week thanks to another ebay coupon and an overly aggressive bid (oops). Of course they arrived this afternoon while I was out at the course playing probably my last golf of the season.

Been playing about 5 months in my third go around trying to pick-up golf. Got an instructor this time around and going way better. Picked up some Titleist AP3s 25% off on Black Friday and now looking to invest driver/woods and putter. Where do you guys get the EBay 25% off coupons I’ve seen a lot of people mention?

At first glance, looking to pick-up the 1) Odyssey O-Works Red Tank #7 Putter, 38 inch 2) Rogue Driver, 9 degree loft, with stiff Aldila Synergy 60 Graphite and 3) Rogue 3 Wood with stiff Aldila Synergy 60 Graphite.

I'm 6'3, with medium swing speed that I hope to increase as I improve. Can always customize later and still come out ahead given how discounted these are but any of the above clubs sound way off for my needs?

1 - No comment on putters, that's all personal. If it looks good to you go for it!

2 - See what the price of the Epic driver is. If it's significantly less I would do that. If they are close to similar then I would go with Rogue.

3 - I would stick with the Rogue on the fairway woods. It is a significant change fro the Epic IMO.

On #2 and #3 I am not familiar with that shaft but with a medium swing speed I would think you could fit into a lot of shafts. Also make sure not to get the SubZero as those are geared more towards players with higher swing speed and looking to reduce spin.

eBay offers aren’t real predictable, they have been offering 15-20% off periodically. Usually only good for like 12 hours. They don’t seem to announce them in advance but word leaks out. I usually read about them on Golfwrx or slickdeals.

It's no different from buying a previous model ProV1. If the price is good, go for it.

I just ordered 192 Tour Preferred X balls from lost golf balls for about a buck a piece. Should save me about the cost of a new driver next summer.

Anyone use a driving/utility iron off the tee? I am erratic with the driver and am thinking a utility iron might help on some of the shorter Par 4s (or Par 5s I can't reach in 2 anyway).

Was looking at the Cobra king black utility 2 iron but having trouble convincing myself to drop $200 on a single iron. The Cobra is actually adjustable between 2-3 iron which is interesting for an iron.

I have used an Eye2 1 iron for years for that purpose, though I currently don’t have a slot in the bag for it.

Personally I would scour eBay etc for a used driving iron before dropping that kind of cash.

After playing my G400 Max with a 44" shaft for about a month and a half I decided to take the Rogue SubZero back out because of an impending Callaway demo day. Started hitting absolute bombs with it again.

Then of course at the damn demo day they have a Graphite Design Tour AD BB shaft. I hit it and of course love it even more. Just sold my old AP2s and turned that money into a new driver shaft. Of course I need to get another shaft in something that is working just fine already.

I'm an idiot.

I feel your pain. I bought a third (obsolete) Ping i20 driver because the second one I bought had a shaft I wanted to try but didn’t care for. I could probably have just had the first one reglued

Also have the 2 Titleist drivers and a handful of shafts I picked up over the summer.

Might just eBay it all and get fitted for the latest and greatest.

So far the P790s haven't been liking be very well. My distance control with them are all over the map. There is a demo day coming up in a week and I really hope that they have the P760s there. I would like to try a combo set for a bit because the long irons are redic easy to hit. Thinking going 8-P in the 760s as that's the cutoff on the speed foam. May consider adding the 7 though.

Got an Oban Devotion 4 driver shaft a few days ago in the mail..
Atmos Black 7x 3wood shaft in mail today for $90...

drove 1 hour south bc I had to pick up some lumber for work and got to this really nice course I had a free 9 holes from a rainout last summer...and they wouldn't let me play..it was 4:15 pm to their defense..

god damn it winter end.
