What golf gear did you buy today? - Page 58 - Golf and Golf Tournament Forum

Last year I bought the M2 Tour irons, but only up to a 6i...I got 2 hybrids with them. However, I've improved some and there is now a solid 25 yd. gap between my 6i and 5h.

So I got an M1 5i, as that seemed to hit more similar to my set than the new M2s.

Used it for the first time today and my first shot was on a 200 yd. par 3 and I easily flew it to the pin, but it rolled off the back a little.

I like it.

A couple of gloves and a new hat. Haven't had any luck finding the plain white Titleist cap I want so I gave up and bought a TaylorMade that felt decent.

Was kind of kicking myself for not buying a used Adams Pro Black hybrid but whatever. Didn't have the patience to try and figure out the shaft flex.

I hate white hats but at the rate I ruin hats because I sweat like a wilderbeast, it might be time to invest.

You guys recommend any gloves outside of Titleist? I use Snake Eyes but they tend to wear out pretty fast. I'm really looking for something that is going to stay super dry like I said hardcore SWEAT!

Took my 4 and 5i out of the bag yesterday. They have been replaced with a Cobra King F7 One-Length 4 and 5i. Wow, I regret not trying this sooner. I have always hated hitting my 4 and 5. First shot was with the 5i on a 195y par 3 and I almost holed it. Hit several shots at the range with both and very rarely missed like I usually do. STOKED!

Big bag o' tees. Also: I noticed while in Meijer (Walmart competitor) that they had a bunch of the 2016 Bridgestone E6s, on sale for $20 a dozen. I'm suprised they hadn't clearanced them out over the winter.

I've gone years without buying them because of ones i pick up on the course, but lately I've found that I like a certain kind best. It's dumb but at least it's a cheap preference, since the big bag was four bucks.

I've been playing used Vokeys for a while, have really liked them, and felt like I got pretty good stoppage. I lost my 52 and bought a new one before I played a couple weeks ago on a killer deal. Felt like a pro out there, stopping it, getting some nice spin. So assuming I give the grooves an average amount of case, how long will this bliss last?

I thought I read somewhere that there were going to be Callaway deals on Amazon Prime Day, but I didn't really see anything special when I looked last night. Moderately tempted by the Bushnell V4 for $229, but probably won't pull the trigger.

Picked up a Ping G30 driver and took it straight to the course. Big mistake. I was all over the place.

I was ready to return it to the PGA Superstore, but decided to give it a second try at the range. Played around with my setup a bit and hit it like a champ.

Back to the course this weekend.

Ping G30 is amazing.

Probably also had a bit to do with it being the first driver I got fitted for, but it turned my driver from being my most scary to my most trusted club. Except for my 4 hybrid. But that never used to be scary.

Bought some of those super stroke corded grips, pretty cheap from golf works. Was struggling with my grips in humidity and they are just over a year old anyways so needed to be done.

I'm never a big fan of the corded grips. Rips my hands to shreds. I'm also really not a big fan of the multi-compound grips either. Seem to be too slick for me.

Titleist cart bag. So far after zero rounds it's gonna take a bit of getting used to. No hole for the umbrella but there is one on the side. The pocket for the GPS is a bit lower than I am used to. It's a bag though, no like it's going to help or hurt my game any.

Getting back to grips I loved the Winn Dri-Tack grips but they lasted all of < 1 month on my driver before it had to be replaced.
