GL getting $1700 for a used piece of tech that cost less brand new a week ago. Would be quite the accomplishment.

Yeah the new warranty alone is probably worth the $300 difference. But I'd rather wait until it goes on sale again.

Flightscope mevo looks interesting too at its price point but it doesn't look like it will have simulator options.

cool, good luck.

btw, not listed are the play & improve package ($199) and 7 months of JNPG ($250/year), that get tossed in.

Ordered a new set of Cleveland 588 RTX 2.0 wedges for $216. Spent the last two weeks trying to dial in the correct wedges for each distance I want.

Went with a 50* gap that I hit 90-110. A 56* sand that I probably use more around the green than in the sand. And a 60* lob, that I probably use more in the sand than around the green.

I currently have a 58* sand and 64* lob. But I found with the more spin from the new wedges I don't need to throw it as high to get it to land softly on the green.

The Epic SZ has been so good lately I am going to pull the trigger on the 3 wood as well.

Also picking up an AP2 gap wedge to replace my 50* Vokey SM5 which I never really was able to get along with.

In the hole will be an 816 19* hybrid to replace my 915 18*.

After that I think my bag is set for a while. Wait, who am I kidding, I also need a couple new wedges, maybe try a mid-mallet too.

had a birthday this past week so it was my excuse to pull the trigger on a M1 3w today.

i hit dozens of shots with the m1 and the epic sub zero. it really came down to the ability to adjust the draw and loft. the m1 carried ~8 yards farther and had fewer misses.

the 3w was the only club in the bag that i haven't updated in the past couple of years and i've been rotating two callaway diablo edge tours that i bought used several years ago (one is 15* the other 13*). i used the 13* when playing courses like bandon in tough winds when i just want to hit low, longish shots that will run. it's almost like hitting a driver off the deck.

If you don't like his price, you don't have to buy. No reason to talk **** about it. You're allowed to ask whatever price you feel fit here.

Yeah I have no issue with him trying to get w/e he can for it. Just felt I should inform people that are interested that it's not a good price. That was before he mentioned he had those subscriptions also, probably not such a bad deal including those.

The great thing about free markets is you can also have discussion about what you feel is a fair or unfair price, so buyers are informed and the whole thing works better for everyone

He can try and sell for whatever price he wants and I can tell him his price sucks, welcome to 2+2.

naw, it was poor form, especially considering my post said i would move a bit for an easy sale. lol, do your thing though. btw, you never answered my question a few months back if you liked the skytrak.

it'll be gone in a week either way. a sale my be coming on fathers day (didnt last year), if not, christmas...and you still pay tax.

I think it's kinda poor form to post it at a rip off price in this thread. Craigslist or something go for it, here that's a little weak imo. I love my skytrak, I didn't have a Setup able to withstand the brutal winter where I live, but since it's warmed up I'm loving the purchase. Seems so much better than the range for a few reasons.

how does the m1/m2/epic/etc. 3wood play from the fairway?

any reason I need to get fitted for woods in addition to the driver, or should the metrics and recommendations carry over?

Epic 3 wood is great from the fairway.

Getting fitted for fairway woods is less important than driver, but I did both. The specs basically carried over.

How would you choose a 3 wood head based on a driver fitting? Hitting driver off a tall tee is barely even related to hitting 3 wood off the deck. Fitting is all about optimizing launch conditions and very little of it really carries over.

Yeah there is really nothing related except companies carry the driver name into the fairway woods.

50* gap wedge to match my AP2's. I was never able to get along with the 50* Vokey for some reason.

i mentioned how i like super bargains in most things i buy. some it's hard to avoid paying list, like prime time green fees at popular courses. but i digress.

anyway, for canadians, a couple of friends and i have had good experiences buying used equipment from golfavenue.ca. a company out of montreal with tons and tons of used stock. someone in golf industry told me they sell golftown's trade-ins- which i think used to go to a company in texas.

so nice to be able to easily get top of the line equipment from 3-5 years ago at really good prices. and they have wide assortment of shaft flexes.

anyway, for usa people it's no big deal as there are tons and tons of places for used golf equip - both BM and online. but in canada, online retailing is mostly books or pay huge shipping from usa/cheap shipping but need to cross border to pick it up.

btw, as part of my super-bargain used/new equipment collection, i have game-used (pga and web.com playoff) golf equipment LOL

has anyone heard of an automatic ball teeing system that you can take around the course with you? i.e. for really old people who can bend down... i would think it might not do different tee heights, although maybe it would.

googled it but everything i found looks pretty clunky i.e. driving range.

i understand this exists but my contact might have it wrong. might be driving range system which is reasonably common. or at least not that rare.

Wanna get a new driver, been playing a Diablo Edge driver since I started playing in 2011. I'm thinking it's been long enough that I'm giving up distance by not upgrading.

Right now I'm looking at the Cobra King LTD and the Callaway GBB Epic. Leaning towards the Cobra because it's $200 cheaper and spending 500 bucks on a golf club seems insane. Gonna try them both out at Dicks this weekend.

I have the cobra LTD and it's great. It came down to that and the M2 when I had a driver fitting and the cobra looked better at address to me.

I hit the Epic sub-zero in Florida in January and on the 5ish swing I made it was nice; possibly longer than my driver but I don't go crazy for distance. Gotta just get it in play for my game. I think driver technology is pretty great right now. Personal preference and your session at dicks will likely give you your answer.

I'm obv an Epic Subzero fanboy these days but it really has done wonders for me so far. AS long as you get fit into a shaft that matches up with your game they are basically all the same these days.

I'd recommend the M2. You can get last years model for under $200 I think. Not bad for a driver that was $400 a year ago and I game it now and love it.
