I would say Skytrak yes. There is supposed to be a $500 one coming out soon that has good buzz. Curious on that one.

Looks like that 60-62 number is bogus, maybe only for the top drivers of the ball.

Simply put, Smash Factor is Ball Speed divided by Clubhead speed. Due to manufacturing restrictions, it is difficult to get a smash of over 1.50 on a driver shot, these shots usually come from the toe area of the sweet spot (I can confirm this, speaking from experience). Spieth & Johnson's numbers w/ the driver divide out to a near 1.50 smash each

The SC200 will give you accurate clubhead and ball speed for a few hundred.

Also looking forward to seeing how the new $500 Flightscope is going to work. That will give spin rate as well.

Flightscope Mevo coming out in March, but there's hardly any information available? No real specs, no videos, no units shipped to youtubers for reviews, nothing you'd expect from a product shipping shortly.

Fitted AP1's came in today. Of course we get rocked by a hail blizzard so I can't break them in just yet. My roommate hooked me up with an Oban Kiyoshi shaft so I got that regripped when I picked up my clubs and popped it in my M2. Color combo is sexy.

For whatever reason I like black wedges so I'm deciding between Mizuno TP5 or Titlest Vokey. Still have no idea with 3 wood and rescue, need to go smack a few around.

i've always liked (and played) the Vokey wedges but i confess i haven't hit many other manufacturers.

as for hybrids, test drive the Calaway Apex to see if you like it and if you do go here and pick up a 'like new' version and save ~$70 or so off current retail. http://www.callawaygolfpreowned.com/...ct-refinements

i've purchased two fairway woods and an iron set from this site, even their 'very good' clubs appear to be brand new when you get them. you can also have them regripped if you want.

The buying continues. Settled on the Mizuno MP-T5 black ion wedge set. Got a 50, 54, 58 the letter with high bounce for $170 total via eBay. That includes shipping, what a ****ing deal!

That's a great deal. I picked up the Sun Mountain 3.5LS stand bag to replace my ~ 10 year old Titleist bag that doesn't stand or repel water anymore, and it's awesome. Light, same storage space, looks good.

Got picked over at GolfWRX to try out the new TaylorMade TP5X ball. A dozen of them arrived via FedEx today. Early reviews look good.

Also received the bad news that my Epic SZ will not make it to my bag before I leave for Pebble/Bandon. If it shows when I am gone it's getting sent overnight to me wherever I am.

As an alternative I found the exact shaft I picked on WRX and bought it. Then get the text saying his kid used it as a sword and broke it. Search again and find another one. Gonna get a Titleist adapter on it to use for the trip.

Also bought some "Body Glide" for the Bandon trip. If you don't know what that is Google it.

pack extra socks. there's no reason not to change your socks after walking the first 18 and before the next 18.

Shoes AND socks will be changed between each round.

I also wore tights under my pants last year, hence the need for the body glide.

Im really considering pulling the trigger on the skytrak. Anyone want to talk me out of it? Also looking at getting a projector and screen but the one thats on their website is super expensive. Im sure i could find another option elsewhere that is much cheaper right?

Gapping in your irons can be all over the place. You are not going to have a consistent difference between clubs. As long as you can grasp that I say give em a shot.

I almost would like a combo set. Say have the 4-7 irons all play the same length and then the 8-LW all be the normal length.

Ever since I heard of this dechambeau guy I thought the idea was okay but it would work way better with at least 2 lengths of irons. It just makes no sense to me to have a 3 or 4 iron the same length as a wedge.

Even if Kirkland is 90% as good, that is a no brainer for 95% of golfers. It seems like they are very close. As in Sprint vs. Verizon.

Good game Titleist. No wonder you are suing. Have to somehow squash this, no matter what it takes. As articles say, that is a dangerous strategy and is drawing more attention to Costco.
