Epoxy is in place and curing. I put the 23* Adams Pro in the RIP and the 27* Adams Pro Dhy in the Kujoh with an extra 1/2 inch off the tip. Just need to butt trim to length and throw some grips on once they cure.

My new Taylor Made Spider Putter finally arrived yesterday. I'm about to head out for a round this morning and see how I perform with it.

I got fitted yesterday for some new irons and will be ordering some new Callaway Apex's this morning as well.

I bought a hard case for mine, which was great in theory.

First trip one of the 3 latches snapped.
Second trip one of the wheels bent and it doesn't roll the same any more.

Also add the weight of the thing. In order to keep in under 50 lbs I have to limit the # of golf balls I throw in a bag on a trip.

At least I have peace of mind that none of the shafts will snap.

I had another soft bag for years and never had any problems with it...the golf bag itself is hard, of course...and I usually put something over the top of the bag and in between the longer clubs to keep them from shifting.

It's taken me 2 weeks and now I'm used to them. I'm hitting the ball better then ever. Though its the 1st time I have ever bought new clubs and been fit. Its was worth the $$$.

GF got me a Garmin S2 watch (most places have them on clearance at this point - $120) to pair with my range finder. Played a few holes last night with it and it's nice to have some yardages to layup areas and dog legs. And for a lot of shots just knowing the front and middle yardages are plenty for my hacking ability.

Functionality is good and not too confusing. Screen resolution is plenty fine for displaying numbers. Fun to measure drives. Put it on the bag as it's kind of big for the wrist. Solid piece of equipment IMO.

I'm looking forward to getting mine in. I just started playing again after a 20 year break. I still had my old Tommy Armour 845's, which were great in their time, but was wanting to catch up with the technology. I mean I'm still going to suck, for a while, but at least I won't be outdated. I already bought the new Big Bertha recently and am also going to get the 3 & 5 wood to go with it.

I know it's a simulator, but in the fitting I was hitting my old 7 iron 145 yards. With the Apex I was hitting it 155-160 and straight. Hell, with the Titleist I was hitting it 168ish consistently, but the Apex's just felt better in my hands.

Try hitting a hybrid and compare it to a 5 wood to see which you like better. I took an 8 year hiatus myself and just came back a year ago. New technology is fun.

I've seen a lot of hybrids at the club and have been curious about them. I might just have to give one a try.

I second this. I went to a Driver, 3W, 2H, 3H, 4-W's setup awhile ago and I will take the 2H over a 5W any day. For reference I hit a 7i 160-165 and I hit the 2H 230 off the deck, 240 off the tee and a lot more accurate.

Went for a club fitting this afternoon. I've worn through a second set of AP2's. Our pro measured my right arm. I suggested he also measure my left. My left forearm is an inch shorter than the right due to a bad break when I was a kid. This information gave him pause. He inspected my worn irons and deduced I should be playing with irons at 1 degree upright.

He adjusted a few demo 7 irons to that specification and let me hit whilst he returned to the shop for his own 7, an adjusted AP2. One of the clubs he left for me to try was an M2 pro, w pro stiff 105g shaft. Instantly fell in love. Who'd a thought 1 degree would make such a difference. Two weeks delivery, and I've saved $80/club not buying a new set of AP2's. In the meantime, he's going to 'tap' my old irons into 1 degree upright.

ECCO's are super comfortable but a little on the pricey side. I love my Adidas gripmore spikeless. I love spikeless in general and they are good for 95% of the conditions, at least for me.

Best part is you can put them on at your house, go to the course, go to the store after an go home without having to change your shoes.

So not worrying about price and if you're going spikeless, are Ecco the ones to get? Any recommendation on model?

I absolutely love my Nike Lunar Controls which are the most comfortable golf shoes I've ever owned, but unfortunately after 5(?) years they won't hold much longer I think and I do like the idea of spikeless for my next pair. (had a period with Adidas zero throw in, but while they were ok, I never really liked them that much and went back to the Nikes even after they were ready for retirement.)
