Bushnell Range Finder, I'm pretty pumped.

At least once a round, I hit at a nearly perfect approach, only to fly the green or come up way short, and then realize I had a bad yardage. Plus just having peace of mind on every shot, should make a big difference.

I still recommend checking middle of the green yardages when you're out there. I found that when I bought my first laser I started playing more 'to the pin' numbers instead of 'to the middle of the green' numbers. You can imagine how that went.

Would it be a bad idea to search CL/EBay for a used one for any reason? $300-400 seems a lot much

i see a bunch of manufacturer refurbished for either side of $100 on ebay.

i think this may be one of the next steps in my own development. seem to be stuck at 10 handicap.

I stand corrected. The obvious proper strategy on every hole is to go pin seeking no matter where the pin is placed.

Soooo jealous.. I will not play any other clubs than Taylormade, but am not good enough to justify spending $400 on a driver. I did recently (~a month ago) buy a used R11 for $70! I have a nasty slice and after adjusting weights, face angle, and loft ive been hitting a high, straight, penetrating drive. Love it

I will say, after seeing Shark Doctors post of best golf related purchase he made, that i recently had a fitting and adjustment with my irons (after 5+ yrs playing) and have seen phenomenal results. Its insane what an hour of proper fitting can do for your scorecard.

Got a new Under Armor brand hat and some new shorts. Some stores (not golf stores) had good deals on golf fathers day stuff. Got a $60 pair of shorts for $28. Was going to play today but it's too ****ing hot.

I cashed first in a poker tourney this weekend so I broke down and bought a new driver yesterday.

TaylorMade R1 (black) with the stock S shaft.

I'll have to play around with the customization stuff a bunch I'm sure, but I'm already hitting it waaaaay more consistently than my old D2 with a Harrison Mugen Prototype. I feel like my old driver was actually so far from "fitting" my current swing that it was literally causing me to make poor swings off the tee. I can't wait to get out there and get some rounds in with this new thing.

Just got the Sun Mountain Micro-Cart. Small, compact solid 4 wheeler with alot of well placed storage spots. Will be testing it out this coming Thursday.

Got this dirtbag to protect my trunk.

It's not made for this Sun Mountain cart, but it fits so I'm okay with that.

Bought a 9.5* Ping i15 driver a couple of weeks ago for $97 on craigslist. It's a huge change for me, since I've been playing a Ping Rapture 12* for a couple of years (I got fitted for that one, and the higher loft saved me from a wicked slice I couldn't cure).

Figured if I hated the 9.5* I'd try to sell it for $50 or something, but it's been working very well so far. Think it helps that my swing is a little better now.

Funny you should ask. Just bought my first piece of equipment for some while:

It is an Aldila RIP NV 65g shaft for my driver.

Until I swung it on the range, I never would have even considered it. Now I am gonna pop that sucker on my RBZ driver head and enjoy the extra 25 yards.

As soon as Bridgestone figures out how to get the price down on their new graphite shafts for irons, I will swap them out as well. I figure if Kuchar and Snedeker play them, they're not just for geezers anymore.

I haven't had a lot of time with it yet and I'm still banging the rust off my swing from not playing for 6 months, but it feels amazing and I feel the ball comes off the face very hot. I also have to say that I really love the sound it makes at impact. It looks really good at address too (I got the Black).

I haven't played with the customization options yet, but I will over the next few weeks. I just want to iron out my swing first before I start fooling around with loft and lie stuff.

Got an R1 and played my first round w it. Have been playing the R9 for a few years and was generally happy w it.
Only played around w the lie angle but am looking forward to messing around on the range this week.

It's hot off the face. Feels bigger at address than the r9 and has more of a tinny hollow sound and feel at impact vs the more solid sound of the r9. In my first round definitely another 20 yds in distance and less spin. So far I really like it.
