Might give Vice ago, I play Q Star just because of the price it falls into, I do have a batch of Pro V's that I like.

Going by above what Vice ball would you recommend trying? They seem to have so many,

Or what do you guys play from Vice?

If you like a ProV then options are:

105 mph and higher: Vice Pro Plus
Lower than that: Vice Pro

No need looking at the rest of their stuff unless you really like a softer feel.

Cheers!

after I posted that message I saw they have a recommendation thing and it came back with the Vice Pro.

First time ever buying $180 shoes. That takes 5 shots off the handicap, right?

Yesterday I got some on them Puma Spikeless shoes me feet were killing me in my spikes. It's getting pretty hard out on the course these days. I am suffering with a small injury to my calf and foot on my right side from play football/soccer. I have a really cheap pair of spikeless shoes and they are quite nice to play in. So figured I would just get some better ones.

1 of my playing partners didn't invest in waterproof shoes and we played like once or twice a week through the winter. I don't know how people don't have waterproof shoes having wet feet is the worst.

Lol costanza. Love it.

New used 10 dollar titleist 8 iron seems a good fit so far.

New used 20 dollar titleist 9 iron is ok. Fatter slicker grip than I prefer but good club for the money.

Thinking of adding a mallet putter at low cost if possible for distance consistency.

Damn, need new golf shoes and looks like Nike isn't making the Janoskis any more. I can't anything with that casual look + function.

Update on the Ping G425 Max driver I've been demo-ing for the past 2 weeks. I really like this club. Incredibly forgiving even on poor strikes. And the distance is great especially when I catch it flush, about 30 yds longer than my 11yo Callaway Diablo Edge driver.

Putting the rear weight in the fade position worked best for me, I generally hit a fade off the tee and my miss is a pull.

Anyway this is the first Ping driver I've ever played and I am very impressed.

One thing I have learned so far is that the Boa system is not for me. I am constantly loosening and tightening them throughout the round. Other than that the shoes are great.

I was playing my 4th round with them yesterday when it felt like there was a rock caught under the insole. I take them off and a silica gel pack fell out. How did I not feel that in rounds 1-3?!?!??!?!

Bought a set of Srixon ZX7s. Going to get PX 6.5 LS, or 7.0 LS 1x soft step in them. Would prefer the 6.5s because that's what I was hitting, but they're backordered, and the 7.0s are available. ZX7s were spinning almost 800 less than my miura TC 201s, and any of the callaway heads. Really liked the mizuno 223s but they're months out as well.

With your swing speed I would think 7.0's would work for you.

How big of a spin difference is there between the LZ and LS?

I think PX 7.0 and KBS c-taper 130x are honestly super similar shafts. I played a c-taper 130x for a long time and it never felt super stiff to me. The X7 I have now is definitely the stiffest feeling golf shaft I've ever played. I kind of just wanted to get down to the 125g type of weight (vs like 134 for X7) since I rarely go full after irons anymore. A soft stepped 130g will end up being like 128g, so it won't be very different. Ended up ordering them, hopefully they'll get built next week.

I'm not sure how much the spin would be that different actually, probably like 200-400 depending on how you load it, but it'd be a very different feeling profile. The LS would definitely launch a decent bit lower.

Got my new bats today,

Stealth+ Driver 10.5 (Knocked down 1 lower) (Aldila Rogue Stiff 60 Gram)
TSI Hybrids x 2 (Kura Kage Stiff Shaft)
Stealth Irons 5 - PW (KBS Stiff Tour Lite Shaft)
Odyssey Putter

I only managed to get 5 holes in with them before I had to head off to football/soccer. Felt great nailing the first tee shot down the middle and pretty far felt their was some sort of expectation for these clubs to perform right away. Not from me but from my playing partners. Funny thing was I had about 60 yards left with a tucked pin that I had to stop pretty quickly. Got the lob wedge out and bladed it over the green, Over the bushes that separate the green and the next tee box and it went over the tee box into the next fairway Thankfully the wedges are not new and not fitted

I only hit 6 iron and PW within these 5 holes out of irons and they felt good, Very easy to hit. Hit 1 of the Hybrids on the long Par 3's and went over the green probably about 195ish so that's pretty good.

Holed a couple of 6 footers with the putter.

So yeah first impressions very good and it's on a day where I played 18 in the morning where I felt so so slow.

I'm not sure how this is possible. It's a cable lace that is locked in place?

FWIW, I bought Nike Air Zoom Victory Tour 2 NRG Golf Shoes for the look of them. They are actually nice golf shoes, but definitely a fashion statement.

Yes, it's just my OCD that gets to me thinking it's too tight. I loosen it and tighten it again.

I guess that's fair. It does seem like it's too tight at first, but after a few minutes I'm not sure I've given it a second thought.

Also, you're a much better golfer than me and I value your opinion. I'm just a little surprised that you'd be adjusting your laces multiple times a round when BOA seems much more consistent than traditional laces.

It's been a while, but I think BOA also failed in the $1k hockey skate environment despite having to relace waxed laces between shifts.

Bought a new Odyssey Tri Hot 5k 1 putter yesterday @35 inches. Shocked how stable this thing has felt.. basically a standard Anser style but god it feels stable, pretty impressive.

I tried the new scotty mallets, and after buying a few the past few years, I've come to the conclusion that Scotty Cameron makes the worst putters of any major company these days. They're genuinely awful.
