I think I own like 13 now, and keep going back to Taylormade putters for any rounds that matter. The insert in the spiders really do roll the ball more consistently than any other thing I've come across, especially on mishits. Every scotty I own just feels so inconsistent off the strike.

Recently I bought a few clubs. Bought a Jaws full toe 60 degree wedge, which is cool, but need to get a stronger shaft for it.. the stock offering is super weak. I also bought a vokey SM8 60 degree 04L bounce with some shop credit. I have a SM8 10 degree and it's just way too much bounce for me. Had an SM7 04, so will be interesting to play around with it. Been gaming just a Jaws 08 C grind for the most part for the past year and a half.

Also just ordered a new Taylormade UDI 2 iron with a 130 c-taper x. I've been playing the original UDI 2 iron with a tour-v 120x shaft that is honestly just a little tip soft, but has been my go to tournament club for years now. Didn't want to risk messing that up so just bought another one to compare. Kind of want to just reshaft my whole set to c-tapers, but they're backordered everywhere.

First round out with it I made 5 birdies.

Received my 52. I didn't pull out my 58 to compare yet but the 52 felt shorter, flatter and heavier than I expected for what I ordered. We'll see when I compare them side by side.

Pretty happy with the 52 after getting it in the bag this weekend, I think the 46-52-58-64 spacing will work great. I can certainly drop the 64 for a lot of courses but the only club I'd really want to put back in the bag is a 5i and that's almost as much of a specialty club since I'd be hitting the 6h about 90% of the time instead.

Damn metal fatigue on my 60* wedge today. For some reason it didn't survive the bend over my knee. Anger issues man.....

They don't make shafts like they used to.

Bought a mallet. I can tell it’s going to be great long term; putts went right where I wanted them to. Short term though I’m gonna have a hard time adjusting to the weight. Speed was horrible.

Which mallet did you end up with?

Cleveland frontline iso slant. I had several options, but I liked the feel and simplicity of this one.

Thanks. I’ve had two putters in my adult golf life. Odyssey white hot #2 that I got probably 20 years ago off the rack at the pro shop, and a TM spyder I got a few years ago off the rack - pro took me out on the green and after hitting putts for 30 minutes I picked what felt best.

Any things I should ask about with regard to fit and feel? I do okay with line but I suck at speed control.

If you have a question, ask it. That’s what you’re paying them to do. At a good fitting you should glean tons of knowledge.

One thing I will stress, and it goes for iron and wood fittings as well. If you don’t like the look of a putter behind the ball, speak up. No matter how good it might fit you, if you don’t like the look you won’t putt well.

Did not get a new putter and really didn’t even get a putter fitting. It’s billed as a putting evaluation and my setup and technique is so bad we didn’t get beyond some fundamental basics and drills to hopefully improve my putting.

I lined up with the ball in the toe of my putter and missed the center of the face on all of my baseline putts and when you hit the toe it opens the face.. you miss a lot of putts to the right.

Then my hand position is way too far back so I was adding loft to the putter keeping the face open there as well. I’ve never seen video of my putting before - interesting to see compared to what it feels like.

I did okay in the green reading component where he asked me to gauge the distance and uphill/downhill and break. So I can read them okay but lining up to the actual target and hitting the ball where I want isn’t good.

Good experience and I have some stuff to work on the rest of this season and winter which is great.

I bought my friend's SkyTrak a few weeks ago. Fortunately, my basement ceiling is tall enough to swing driver. Right now I have a mat and am hitting into a net, and running the software off a gaming laptop. Just bought the E6 software this weekend and it's pretty sweet. Went with the expanded version with 90 courses. I ordered a kit with an impact screen which got delivered this weekend. Now I need to buy all the tubing from Home Depot and put everything together. I'm also looking at rubber flooring / artificial turf for the simulator area. It will be pretty badass when it's done, but I have a long ways to go.

Bought a Mavrik Sub Zero 13.5 3 wood with diamana DF 70 TX shaft off ebay for like $350 (tour head, $350 shaft, hit like 20 times).

Been avoiding these callaway 3w heads the past couple years because they are bonded but have absolutely hated my 3w setups lately... definitely was hitting it better yesterday.

Feel like Diamana DF is a sleeper shaft, have the same 70 TX in my driver too. So smooth and stable.

Tensei White 70TX is my go to 3 wood shaft. I really need to try it in a driver one of these days.

I've had the 80tx tipped 1.5 in my 3 wood for the past year and a half or so. I also had the tensei 1k 80tx tipped 1.5 in my 3 wood too.. good shafts, low spinning/nice flight for sure, but never felt quite stiff enough for me.

The shape on the mavrik sub zero 3 woods, and the new ones too is my favorite 3 wood head out there. Been playing the Sim/Sim 2 and they're just too rounded for me to really feel comfortable. Tried the TSI3 13.5 too and couldn't get it to do anything but hook, also felt pretty bad.

Edit: Have the Ventus Black 8x tipped 1.5 with a sim adapter on it, and it's probably my favorite of the group.. but mostly just realizing I really don't like the heads. Wish I could tinker with the callaway head I bought without rebonding, but oh well.

Picked up the Titleist T200 irons to replace my 714 AP2s, which I had for 7 years. Not playing as much as I used to, so opted for the T200 over the T100. I think I need the additional forgiveness. Also added on the 48 degree gap wedge, and am looking forward to the added flexibility.

Right now my typical ball speed is ~160, and my PR is 168. One of my goals for this year was to be able to get to 170. Hopefully, I can get there soon.
