they are terrible with spin accuracy indoors compared to a camera based system like a gc2 or quad

We tested it a couple of times in our indoor studio with both going. Part of that was a tour player wanted the Trackman numbers instead of the sim numbers. The numbers were a bit different, think spin rate on driver would be off by as much as 500rpm on an amateur.

We thought about delving into it more but quite frankly there were bigger fish to fry.

When I swing drivers non-stop I can "self correct" my swing. When I get to the course my swing is my swing. I always know that in the back of my head when trying out clubs, that's why I wanted to get a moveable weight club so I can switch on the fly.

So when trying in the draw setting I was hooking them off of the planet, like 40 yards left. When in neutral setting I was mostly hitting baby fades.

I already had a plan when it arrived that it was likely going to be loft turned down and weight in draw setting. If I still wasn't able to get it to work I was going to get a lighter weight.

So tl:dr is that it's the indian and not the arrow or the chief (fitter).
Brings up a thing I always think about, the golfer or the club.

I don't think I could ever buy into a movable weight club to adjust, I think it would make me manufacture different swings to adjust to the various club settings and enable or force me to frankenstein my swing.

Driver is by far my most erratic club over the years and I am definitely an over the top/out to in swing. When in control I hit baby cuts, when not in control I sweep across and hit a high ballooning slice with an insane amount of spin and loss of distance. I like hitting cuts, it is definitely my preferred shape and I don't try to force a draw ever, really.

But with an adjustable club I feel like I would fall victim to tinkering if I was in a rut and trying to get the right setup for that moment, when in reality I'm just swinging poorly and need to work on an in to out swing.

Fwiw recently been focusing hard on an inside takeaway recently to improve the driver. I swing a Ping G400 Max 9* with HZRDUS 6.0 black shaft, 76g.

Just dropped a grand on TaylorMade irons - wedge through 3, a Callaway driver, and Odyssey putter, the one Jon Rahm uses sometimes, that has those 2 representations of a ball just behind the blade, so when you address your ball, there are 3 balls in a row lol. I expect greatness

if you drop the appropriate micro-dose of acid you'll be able to see the same three balls in a row while using a corn husk strapped to a willow branch.

Took the day off so after my round (and before my first time playing poker in like 3 years) I stopped by Golf Galaxy. Looking at the used putters they had a Odyssey Tank Versa #7 (39 or 40") with a SuperStroke Flatso 17 grip.

The best part is someone messed up big time and had it listed for $74.95. SOLD

A long, long time ago I had one. Not even going to game it right now. Just gonna let it collect dust in the closet for the next time the current putter misbehaves, which at this rate, will be by Sunday.

Done. Set at 18* and I subbed in the shaft off a spare 17* 818H2. Now I can pretty much permanently bench the 3 wood. I probably have one more hybrid than I truly need at 18-21-25-29 but I'm not too interested in putting the 5i back in the bag.

Interesting about the 818. I thought that was the worst hybrid that Titleist has made in a long time. I'm sure it's operator error but I put the 816 back in my bag, and to this day it still is in there.

Definitely diffren't strokes. It's the only one that I have ever really, really liked. I'm okay with the Mizuno CLKs I have and had an on/off fling with an Adams, but that's the end of the complete list of hybrids that I could hit successfully. I didn't like the 816. Haven't really tried the TS or TSi series, probably won't any time soon. Driver will be the next upgrade.

I'm thinking I might do well to have something to fill the gap between my 3-wood and 4-iron. Do tell what you think about it.
Ok, after I bought the club I swung it awful on the course. I took it out of the bag for a bit. Recently put it back in. When struck well the club is an absolute weapon. Any bad shots are simply due to me.

I'm a hack (21 hcp) so my feedback probably doesn't help. But man the club is sweet.

Does anyone use a carry/stand bag that you also you with a trolley and doesn’t start to fall off after 3 holes… if so could you let me know you’re bag and trolley.

Would like the option to carry my bag if just playing 9 holes but when playing 18 a trolley is handy.

Also to add I don’t want to be putting my bag on sideways which I see a lot of people do.

clicgear 3 wheel cart/trolley (i think their current version is 4.0 but i've had a 3.0 for several years) with Sun Mountain stand bags (3.5 in summer, H2NO in winter). cinch 'em up right and no problem with the bags falling off.

don't get the four wheel version, and don't get the one with the wheel in front that swivels.

clicgear also sells a booster attachment to put on the cart where the bottom of the bag goes to help with wheel clearance if that becomes a problem. personally haven't needed to use one with the bags i have but some people do.

clicgear isn't cheap but they seem to be the best. i've played hundreds of rounds with mine so the cost per round is miniscule. you can also find them used or with online discount codes.

I don't have one so I cannot endorse it based on personal experience, but you could go with a Bag Boy cart (trolley) and a bag with the Top Lok system.

I just use an old ultralight Ping stand bag and a folded towel. Stays in place no problem on my clicgear 3.0.

I ordered that Bag Boy Nitron trolley will give it a whirl and see how it goes with my bag before committing to a new bag.

1 thing I noticed and I don't know if it's just me but when looking at bags I feel like websites to a **** job showing decent pictures of the bag.

Got this today, From the small stress test I put it under seems like a solid trolley. Will try it out on the course in a few hours. Looks like my bag fits solid onto it so hopefully won't have to get a new bag.

I like using the 4-wheel just as much as a 3-wheel, but the main selling point of the 4-wheel for me was it folds up much smaller than the 3-wheel, and when I was looking, I had a small trunk.

Now I'm just lazy and use a cart.

I use the Caddytek 4-wheel and like it a lot. Girlfriend has the clicgear 4.0 (3-wheel) and she likes it, too; I think push carts have gotten really good and it's just a matter of preference and accessories, etc.

Bought another Scotty today. When I was looking for a cheap mallet I grabbed a used ping from a local shop. Liked the feel so I bought a Scotty X7M used shortly after that, although it was pretty damn beat up. Went to the same shop today and they had the Scptty Phantom X7 for $250 so I bought it. Now I am up to 5 putters in my closet.
