best golf bag? what are people's thoughts on cart vs carry bags? i tend to use a cart more often then not.
thoughts on the sun mountain C-130? any better options?

They make great bags honestly I just couldn't justify spending the extra money on them though since I probably play 15 rounds of 50/50 mix cart/carry.

My Callaway bag that I just picked up was on sale for 75$ it's super light and has a good balance between cart/carry bag with a bunch of useable pockets. Not sure if you've stopped by GolfGalaxy, Dicks, etc but they have a bunch of a nice TM, Callaway, Ogio,etc cart bags for like around 150 and some go on special as low as 120 and under for Cart Bags just a heads up if you are looking to save 75-100$.

It's time for new irons.
I'm a bogey golfer who has lost distance in the last few years. Used to hit my pw 140, now that's a full 8 lol.

Prefer something w a thinner top line but need forgiveness.

Under 1k price.

so whats the deal with putters? are the expensive ones really better? do you just test out a bunch of diff ones n see which fits you the best? are there some objectively better?

bought a buddy of mines skycaddie today - it is the new SGX - he wanted 100 bucks so it seemed like a no brainer. i have one of the old units and i love them - he wants a GPS watch...so everyone wins!

Have the winter blues (high of 8 today with -something windchill - F this) may go do a fitting for new woods and driver!!

Got fit over the winter break, and was told the order should be in next weekend.

Mizuno JPX-825's 6-pw...

I've used graphite my entire life, switching to thinner cavity backs than what I was playing, and steel shafts.

Cannot WAIT to hit these outside.. when being fitted, the differences in my old Nike 4D's and the new configuration was staggering...

15-20 yards distance gained, and a much smaller dispersion circle.

is there a huge difference between putters?
i know the difference is huge in irons as i've experienced first hand the improvements but wondering how much my putting would improve with a new putter (mine is some old pos) vs how much is just that i suck at putting (i suck).

If your current putter has something massively wrong with it, it might be reinforcing bad habits. If it's too long or short, it might be affecting your posture. If the face is cracked, it is certainly affecting your putting game.

If the putter is fine, I'd work on my stroke and speed before investing in a new putter.

ya there is nothing structurally wrong with it.
no idea if its too long or short, it certainly doesn't feel awkward when i address the ball.
pretty sure its just me sucking.
only reason i asked is my game improved so noticeably with my new irons (the taylormade rocketbladz) was hoping maybe i could magically improve my putting with a better club.

Much more stability and forgiveness on a modern putter. And much better roll with grooved or milled face. Would really recommend checking some out and find one you like the look of. Love my white hot pro #7

There are lots of good brands for putters: taylormade, odyssey, yes, rife, ping. Just find something in your price range that fits your eye.

length is a lot of personal preference, Garrigus uses a 28" putter. Unless you're tall or have short arms I would recommend 34", maybe 33.

Ive personally got my eye on the Nike Method standard (not mallet) putter. Tested it a few times at Dicks, but with the $100+ price tag Im reduced to wanting until tax time.
