Orange whip just arrived today. Truly feel like it is game changer. Like now I know what a great golf swing is supposed to feel like, and before I had no idea and just hoped to occasionally pull one of off. Finally understand why people go on and on about tempo.

I'm on a tear lately, my 7th separate golf purchase in 30 days lol. Just completed my set for the upcoming season while we are thawing out here in NJ waiting for some decent golf weather

Last seasons bag:
M3 Driver Atmos Red shaft from Golf Superstore I picked out,
Rocketballz Stage 2 3w stock shaft
Callaway Xhot Hybrid my buddies dad gave me
TM Burner 1.0 6i-GW - 8 years old
SM3 Vokey's 54,58,62 6-7 years old
TM Spider Putter big SuperStroke grip

Went to Club Champion for a full bag fit (mainly for Irons)
Full bag fit quote was $3500 for Driver shaft, 3w shaft, Irons 4-GW, 2 Wedges, Putter.

Little shopping on my own this years bag is looking like <

TM M3 w/ Oban Revolution 4 PURE'D
TM Rocketballz Stage 2 w/ Atmos Black 7x
________
Callaway Rogues 4-GW w/ KBS $-Taper 120g
56 degree Callaway Mack Daddy Forged
63 degree Callaway PM Grind
Odyssey O-Works w/ American Flag grip Murica'

All for about $1785.

Now I have no excuse for bad shots. Sheeeet

Oh yeaaa, with my new bag I have room for 1 more club.. Anyone have any suggestions? I love hitting my 4i off the tee with my new set but I would like a little more distance so I would contemplate a driving iron...I just didn't like any of the TM ones I hit, or I can just stick with a 3H but I'm not a huge fan of hitting my old hybrid..lot of pulls and hooks with it

My 15* Rogue SubZero 3w came in today with a Tensei White 75g TX. Love this thing. Previously had the 13.5 and needed the added loft for fairway shots. Of course never took it out of the bag in my first round.

tried taking some pics but can't get a good shot. they were the 'average' condition. some finish wear on the face of the 54* but the other two look like they've been hit ~50 times, some light bag marks on the backs and top edges of all, new grips. i don't play well enough to have a little bit of groove wear make a different in my game.

What are these ebay coupons? Seems like a weird thing to have a coupon on.. Could you not use it to buy your own stuff with another account and just profit?

eBay seller fees are fairly steep, so if you did this (and I’m sure it’s a TOS violation) you wouldn’t make that much.

It’s just a way for eBay to juice traffic and sales numbers, same reasons any business runs a sale.

Great deal for buyers tho, especially if you find things that are underpriced or sellers that accept lower offers.

I managed not to partake this time.

sorry don't have alot of details.

but i just bot a 13 or 14 degree TM driver with an X shaft. haven't hit it yet as there was minor problem which has now been resolved but weather is terrible.

in the past,

i've been happy with 8.5 degree TM driver with X shaft... even though my SS doesn't suggest it.

and i've been happy 10 years ago with a 13 degree nike driver. not sure what the flex was.

so i thought "why not combine the 2?"... the X seemed to work for me. and the 13 degree seemed to work for me. so maybe they combine to provide something incredible. or maybe they cancel each other out.. bot it used and cheap from canada's newish used golf site, which we effectively never had before.

it's funny how we need something and then don't use it. but i'm sure you will.... club usage for me varies so much by white/blue/black, course, ground condition , season etc.... so it usually works out that i could use just about any club at some point in time.

I'll probably never understand this concept. The only things I would ever change dependent on course/conditions would be the grind on my 60* wedge under extreme circumstances and the loft of my driver.

I'd definitely change my 2i for a 5w or 2 hybrid on certain courses if I had 3 clubs that I liked equally. If it's a tight driving course, I'll always take a 2i. If it's a wider course, especially if I have a few longish par 5s, I'd put in a 5w or 2h for second shots on those holes.

There are also some courses where I'd rather have a 3 iron (vs 2, 4-pw) and just use a 53/60 as wedges, vs using 51/55/60.

I'd definitely change up a few things depending on set up if I were a tour pro depending on the course, and could get free clubs.

Has anyone had a custom fitting for the putter? I don't know how necessary that is, but until I got fit for a new set of irons last year, I never realized how life changing and important that was, but I don't hear as much about putter fittings. Obviously there aren't as many variables when you're slowly pushing a ball across the green vs driving the ball.

I'm due for a new driver too since mine is 23 years old (Taylor Made, Tour 8.5°). I was hitting it 300 yards way back when, but am around 250, 260 these days and not as accurate or consistent as when I played everyday. I'll get fit for that for sure.

I tried the Taylor made M5, M6 and ping G410 yesterday at a demo days event and hit some others last year as well. I'm having a hard time getting used to the feel of the new drivers on the range when I make contact. It feels like I'm hitting it with a plastic hammer and everything launches so high even at 9°!

The cheap feel is one reason why I didn't buy a new driver last year. Anyone else have a hard time adjusting? I guess if I pickup 20 yards and it's more accurate I'll forget all about it.

And too bad Ping doesn't have the trademark "Ping" sound that it used to have. I always liked playing with people who had a Ping driver. What a beautiful sound it was. I was hopeful they'd bring it back this year. When did that stop?

Try the G400 Max then, that thing is the loudest ever. You can for sure go with a driver a year or two older and still be able to pick up distance, and more importantly, forgiveness.

I learned a lot in going through a putter fitting. Learning how much you open and close the face helps a lot in just learning your particular putting stroke. Plus you can get what loft you need on your putter. I think it is well worth it.

Great, thanks! I'll mention that driver when I get a fitting. I don't know if they only fit you for newer clubs or if they still have that one around. If nothing else I'll check Craigslist.

I guess I will get a putter fitting then. I like to learn about my game. Heck, I didn't even know a putter would have a loft 😳.

I demo'ed that one. It was very solid but I wanted to order it with a Tensei White 80g and they removed that option for this year's model for some reason. For that reason I went out and found a Rogue with that shaft. Good thing I did, saved me probably $300.

Guy built it for me on the spot, and it was only $360 total. It's funny looking on Callaway's website, because it's $500 and a two week delivery. Not sure it's the same shaft either.

TaylorMade 60* Hi Toe wedge
Odyssey #1 arm lock putter

If the arm lock experiment works I will pick up a grip and get the Scotty bent to make that an arm lock.
