That 2 iron swing speed is insane! I have never checked my swing speed with a 2i but I'd imagine I'm not even close to that. My driver swing speed tops out at 116 when I throw everything at it. Normal swings are currently at 113.5.

i bought a stiff shaft for my driver like 6 months ago then finally decided to epoxy the tm fitting on this weekend and try it.

forgot to cut it, so it was crazy long and felt 10 pounds heavier...

LOVED IT! lol, was hitting that thing further then i've ever driven in the past.

oh, but it felt way too long in the sim and i couldn't get comfortable...so I cut it down to proper length.

...now I hate it.

Ended up buying a 915Fd 3 wood and a Ping gap wedge.

Sellers are definitely not taking the fullest advantage of eBay's recent coupon mania. I would have bought a 915Fd from Callway Preowned but they didn't have the one I wanted on eBay, just one with a different and shorter (-1") shaft. And I would have bought two newer Ping wedges if the seller had a buy it now option. I'll still bid on them and see if I can get them for a decent price but obviously less than I would have paid with the discount.

also been hitting the Ping G700 in the store. It's ridonkulously long. Easy to hit. The 7 iron is at 29.5 degrees. The P790 is at 30.5, the Rogue Pro is at 31.

But I'm still liking the Rogue Pro the best...maybe I'll order it 1 degree stronger so it matches the others...

Wow that is a redic. strong 7-iron loft. For reference my 7-iron loft is 34. 29.5 is less than my 6-iron even (30). Just goes to show the number on the bottom of the iron is just a number.

Rogue Pro is a good choice.

I sense your sarcasm, but this is a real problem for the semi-serious golfer. I have gotten used to it now, but I remember when I first discovered this nonsense and it pissed me off that I had to go online and research every iron set that I was interested in to see what their lofts were and now basically dump the 3i and add an extra wedge instead. I feel for the golfers that have no clue why the gap between their PW and SW is so big, but are so excited to tell everyone that their new clubs are 5-10 yards longer than those old ones!

I like the Glide 2.0 wedges quite a bit so far. They're nicely balanced and have been producing good results. I'm not a high spin player so I don't know how they stack up in that department but they have better bite than I'm used to.

Prior wedge was a Ping Gorge, which felt heavy to me - one reason I got away from using my Eye2 sand wedge. I've experimented with a couple Vokeys over the years but they never stuck in the bag. I use a 56* Cleveland Niblick out of the sand.

How have the G400s treated you guys? Went for a fitting for driver and 3w today and I have to say the Pings were the best overall, close second were the 917s which were lower spin and a bit longer for me but the dispersion with the Pings was better. Fwiw the driver had the Alta CB x-stiff and the 3w had the Hzrdus stiff.

They've been awesome. Even got personal home delivery from my local ping rep on that last replacement. I have a 917 3W as well, and low spin is the last thing I would use to describe it so that's weird! My driver and hybrid both have the ping tour X shaft, irons have the modus 105x.
