LOL at the PGA Tour trying to keep Tiger out of golf. They beg him to come and complain about him not showing up when he chooses not to. Once again you are just trying to construct a narrative in your head.

I do think a lot of the current negativity is announcers trying to rationalize why he isn't as good as he was 10 years ago. They want to sound smart by being the one who figured out where he went wrong or something. It's more a situation where Tiger can't live up to the unbelievable standard he set.

Plus whatever Chamblee is doing it's working. I mean his job is to be talked about and move the needle and you're talking about him constantly. I bet you can't wait to hear what type of dumbass stuff is going to come out of his mouth next and the Golf Channel has to love that about him

LOL @ other golfers being scared of Woods like ever. The guy was that much better than everybody when he was setting the bar at a ridiculously high level, that's it. It doesn't matter if they were scared, brave, or walked straight into hell wedge held high, Tiger Woods was winning the majority of tournaments he entered period! And using the word was is slightly diminishing the kind of season he is having right now. It's majorless yes, but 5 wins is 5 wins. These aren't in watered down fields either, every time he tees it up Woods faces stiff competition.

Might as well say you're a racist if you're going to spew drivel that the man is mortal and one of many contenders now.

Thanks for defining why people should be scared of someone else in the sport they compete at.

He's a great golfer who just happens to be a total jerk, what's wrong with not rooting for a total jerk? I feel the same way about John Daly.

How did you feel about Tiger after he won the Masters in '97?

You're confusing being so much better than the entire field that you force them to play out of their comfort zone to try and keep up with being scared. Those do not go hand in hand.

I was talking to someone about Tiger and he said something to the effect of, "remember when he won like 5 tournaments in a row?" I responded which time, because he did it twice. He swore I was wrong and only did it once.

So we went to pgatour.com to check. We were both wrong. He did it three times (not counting unofficial events):

In 1999-2000, 5 in a row before falling back to Earth with a 2nd place finish (later in 2000, he would win 6 out of 8 tourneys).

In 2006-07, he didn't make the cut at the US Open. He responded by finishing 2nd at his next tourney, then winning the next 7 tourneys he entered, including 2 majors.

In 2007, he won a WGC event and the next tourney he entered (the PGA), followed by a second at the second FedEx Cup event (he skipped the first). Then he won the last two events of 2007 and the first 3 of 2008.

2008 was a crazy year where he was second in money and first in FedEx Cup points at the end of the "regular season", despite only entering 6 events.

I think he won events with his B game, but that's simply conjecture by whoever says it. All I was saying that if you come out and say stuff like that it won't go over well. There was certainly a lot of hubbub about it on tour at the time.

Sadly, racism certainly exists, and that sucks. And there are definitely those out there that are Tiger haters based simply on skin color. But I think the vast majority are against him because of his faults or reasons other than race. If somebody told me they rooted against tiger because of the color of his skin I'd tell them to go **** themselves.

Thought it was awesome, an amazing display of golf. I'll still watch tape of him walking off 18 and bear hugging his father while breaking down.

At that time he was still pretty innocent, it wasn't until he started saying stuff like the C+ game crack that I started to wonder about his personality.

Yea its nice that to believe that all your icons back in the day are the classiest guys ever when there are no twitter, cell phones or cameras. You don't see people slamming Magic johnson on getting HIV while he is married. It would be the exact same thing as tiger except tiger would have to retire from golf because of a life threatening disease. Except we get to see Magic johnson on tv everyday as one of the greatest. Michael Jordan went through a messy divorce over the same thing as tiger and gambled and partied till 6am every morning before game. That wasn't made a big deal. Time are different now Bo. Get on with the 21st century and stop being an old bitter man.
Both Magic and MJ cheated and that's just as wrong as what Tiger did.

But regardless of century, there's a right way and a wrong way to conduct yourself. And dropping f bombs around kids is simply wrong without question.

lol at anyone who thinks that just because companies use f-bombs in video games and on TV to sell content that it doesn't fall under "bad manners" even in today's current society. Like, I've used f bombs since I was in first grade...a lot...but I at least have the self-awareness to know that it's not how I would conduct myself in a presentable manner.

As for not liking Tiger as a person, I really don't like him. I don't like anyone that doesn't sport some sort of humility about their prowess. I don't like anyone that cheats on their spouse. Like, if you're not going to be faithful, don't get married. It really is that simple. I couldn't get past the second season of Mad Men. The last of the characters that I liked went the way of all the others and I lost interest because I now hate all the characters. So no, I don't like Tiger on a personal level, and it's not because of his skin.

Lets add the fact that he couldn't be bothered to sign a autograph or two. Ever see him high five a kid?

For me I guess it started when he moved that huge boulder in Vegas. My thoughts were nice if you have the gallery to do it.

I always respect his talent. Also he used this family image to ink endorsements ie Buick

PGA causes many of the issues also if they would publicize the fines players receive and for what players may change. You think Tiger or a big name cares about a $1000 fine and that is just a guess

What if he signed them once and missed a 40-year old guy in the back who, as he was walking away, said "Thanks a lot, <racial slur>"?

I would stop signing, too. Besides, all autographs are is a way for people to make money off your name. Who gaf.

You really don't know what went on in their home, though. She could have turned into a complete bitch once she had the kids. Their sex life could have gone south. What if she said 'do what you want, just don't let it end up in the news'. People are going to LOL at that, but I've definitely seen plenty of marriages like that.

Tiger Woods has been in the spotlight since he was 5 years old. You don't think his world and reality are a little bit different from ours? I'll tell you what, I wouldn't want to be Tiger Woods. And I think if you asked a lot of guys, they might say , 'no way, unless I can bang a ton of sluts'. Well, maybe if he was married and his sex life went south, he figured, 'what the hell is this all for??' I believe in the saying 'don't judge a man unless you've walked in his shoes..' (I think it's a mile.. lol). I think a lot of the women that go into marriages with pro athletes are realistic. Don't marry one of these guys if you won't be able to sleep at night while they're out on the road.

This is going to sound a little lame, but..I'm married, I've had women throw themselves at me. I walked away. Yaay, good boy me. But, the number of times that has happened I can count on one hand. These guys have that happen to them in one night!
