Tiger Woods Thread (aka Golf Forum Hamsterdam)

Is Tiger GOAT?

Do you care that he had 13 mistresses?

Is he going to be as dominant as he once was?

What do you think of his new swing change?

Is Tiger a good guy?

Does Tiger act like a gentleman on the course?

Does Tiger get enough TV coverage?

Would you like to see him get run over by a steamroller?

Re: Tiger Woods Thread

It would be cool if the golf forum had a mod. Then the mod could de-Tigerfy the other threads and this could be a Tiger containment thread. If only.

Oops. Seems like a reasonable misinterpretation.

Stand by my answers regardless.

No.

I never like him messing with his swing but I've been wrong in the past and he would know better than me (and you).

Is Tiger a good guy?

Don't know.

Does Tiger act like a gentleman on the course?

Well within reasonable boundaries for a professional athlete imo. Seems to be a gracious loser which I like.

Does Tiger get enough TV coverage?

Obviously.

Would you like to see him get run over by a steamroller?

He pretty much did a couple of Sundays ago at Pebble.
.

EDIT: Wait, we weren't supposed to answer? I thought the questions were good.

How anybody can claim goat before he done is wrong.

shemp are u saying not the best cause he got hurt and retired early? If so i could agree. Whos to say how many jones would hav had if he didnt quit or hogan if he hadnt hit the bus?
My fav tennis player is johnny mac i wonder how many he would hav won if he hadnt quit for a while ala david duval?

You have to finish the race first then we check to see if the time is good. Wind aided no fouls/penalties

You can call whomever the GOAT. Some will agree. Some won't.

Surely there is some athlete in some sport who doesn't dominate the relevant longevity categories who you think is GOAT.

This is something some people like to argue about.

Re: Tiger Woods Thread

I think the correct/only compromise is Jack is the greatest major champion ever, and Tiger has played the game the best ever.

Never

What do you think of his new swing change?

Too Complex Beg Butch to take u back

Is Tiger a good guy?

No he is a disgrace on and off the course

Does Tiger act like a gentleman on the course?

See Above

Does Tiger get enough TV coverage?

He really does not have control of this so cant fault him for it but yes

Would you like to see him get run over by a steamroller?
No but I like him to lose it all and see if he has the fortitude to come back

For me Tiger was one of the greatest of his era. Though I question if he was clean. He is done and finished in my opinion. Cant handle Sunday pressure at all anymore. Needs to be more like Phil on/off the course.

It definitely was a reasonable interpretation. I was lol'ing at the fact I didn't give any explanation for the thread.

TBH, I don't mind reading some stuff about Tiger, but when someone not- Tiger swears, and there's a whole discussion of how that would be treated if it was Tiger swearing, in some totally unrelated thread, I think it's a bit unnecessary...

--

Can someone post some of Tiger's more ridiculous stats? To me, the Grandslam , and the six consecutive USGA tourneys are his most impressive accomplishments.

^^^^ i dont have a whole lot of problem with his actions on the course. i dont like the spit on the green . or if he damages the course.

my problems stem from once he steps outside the ropes. the deal i saw with the kid, if he had done that while playing i would have overlooked that. but walking from the range to the putting green on monday is diff.

Do you care that he had 13 mistresses?

Not one bit. Him playing GOAT golf which is the only thing i care about has nothing to do with his personal life.

Is he going to be as dominant as he once was?

No, but he will pass Jack in majors when it is all said and done.

What do you think of his new swing change?

I could care less about Tiger making adjustments in the media. He knows more about his won swing and has a coach as a figure head. I believe that. He is fine.

Is Tiger a good guy?

Don't care at all. I want to see the best player ever play golf. Bottom line.

Does Tiger act like a gentleman on the course?

Don't confuse his caddie's past etiquette with who Tiger is......he wants to win and that is the bottom line.

Does Tiger get enough TV coverage?

NO....and any TV big wig will agree. He is the biggest draw and they all know it.

Would you like to see him get run over by a steamroller?

NO he is the GOAT

I truly hope Scott makes it big and this tiger/steamroller answer comes back to destroy his image, sending him into a downward spiraling drunken fall from greatness.

Re: Tiger Woods Thread

So basically if you're a Tiger fan you don't care that he cheated on his pregnant wife.

That's what I've learned from this thread.

I'll always be a Tiger hater but I will also admit TV golf is a helluva lot more exciting when he is in contention. It's also ridiculously annoying when he is not in contention but still has every shot of his shown live.

Re: Tiger Woods Thread

Watching Woods now, I seriously doubt he can win another major.

I will keep watching, but there is nothing even remotely special about his results.

By "results," I mean "the results of any given shot."

Anyway, it just looks so obvious he isn't even in the same universe as he was before. I do not see a comfortable, confident player putting swings on the ball. I see a guy who has totally screwed his head up with way too much crap.

Here's a good example: every time he hits a ball poorly, his shoulders drop and his hands come off the club, etc. immediately. EVERY TIME. It's almost as if his reaction to his shot is right there, lurking, and ultimately becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Amazing that anyone can think he does not get enough TV Coverage. Heck yesterday we had to see highlights of Tigers first two days in Match Play. Though to this day I am still amazed at how long it took before the media found out about his cheating ways (Wife)

Do you care that he had 13 mistresses?
Nope. Don't give a **** about his personal life
Is he going to be as dominant as he once was?
Nope.
What do you think of his new swing change?
I like it way better than the Haney swing. But I dont think the swing is his major problem right now. His putting is atrocious
Is Tiger a good guy?
Probably not. But at least he isn't a total prick/douche in public all the time like Pat Perez or Ian Poulter
Does Tiger act like a gentleman on the course?
Sometimes yes, other times definitely no
Does Tiger get enough TV coverage?
I would watch a 24-hour Tiger Network
Would you like to see him get run over by a steamroller?
No man, he's probably my favorite athlete of all time and definitely one of my top 3. He got me obsessed with this great game 8 years ago. So, no.
.

where's leo
