So you got rid of Sabbatini on both teams, I do believe you will be cursing that move.

Yeah. I did enjoy the spots Conners put me in last year. And I'm happy to be the sole owner of him again.

Strangely, Rory is unowned. So, while I will regret it, I won't pay for it in the worst way.

Bump to this.

I think it's in the spirit of the pool to diversify and pick some lower names, and have a larger roster; more fun that way as you get to root for more players.

That being said I ran the pool with a group in the office and several people essentially built rosters of 10-12 of the top players. They are definitely dominating the pool thus far.

That's interesting. They took the highest win equity guys and didn't even bother with volume.

I just received this years entry. Our league runner had eye surgery and wasn't able to get any screen time in, so we're starting 2 weeks later than usual.

Here's this year's player cost list. I already see a few names that jump out at me. I'm also going to do another round of stat crunching.

Hovland seems to be the easiest pick to make. Others:

Wolff 5
Varner 4
C. Smith 4

I assume Hovland will be 100% owned.

Do you have access to post the results of your 2019 season pool? The guys who picked the big dogs won by several millions.

I've whittled the list down to 53 (costing a total of 228) guys I'd like to roster on two teams (max 48 guys, overlap is fine). Studs and Duds seems to be the successful format. Obviously I just took all the top guys, because they'll earn the most money, and I know I can't cram them all in. I used the above suggestions, plus guys I kinda like from last year or from DFS.

1. Any objections?
2. Any additions or major omissions?
Note: I will be running stats this morning to find good players who are running bad.

Brooks Koepka 20
Rory McIlroy 18
Patrick Cantlay 16
Matt Kuchar 16
Dustin Johnson 15
Jon Rahm 14
Justin Thomas 13
Xander Schauffele 11
Justin Rose 12
Paul Casey 12
Adam Scott 11
Tommy Fleetwood 11
Tony Finau 11
Hideki Matsuyama 10
Tiger Woods 9
Sungjae Im 8
Bryson DeChambeau 7
Louis Oosthuizen 7
Jason Day 7
Charles Howell III 7
Jordan Spieth 7
Billy Horschel 6
Byeong Hun An 6
Keegan Bradley 5
Adam Long 5
Collin Morikawa 5
Tyrrell Hatton 5
Matthew Wolff 5
Emiliano Grillo 4
Harold Varner III 4
Cameron Smith 4
Brian Harman 4
Danny Willett 4
Russell Knox 4
Kyle Stanley 4
Cameron Tringale 4
Bud Cauley 4
Cameron Champ 3
Sepp Straka 3
Daniel Berger 2

Viktor Hovland 2
Richy Werenski 2
Scottie Scheffler 2

Alright, I've run stats, checked my gut, and balanced two entries. I'm a week away from entry submission day.

What do y'all think?

I like the list on the left better. No real reason other than looks.

Unsure on the scoring but I'd avoid tiger because he's not likely to put in much volume. Also, it goes without saying you'd be a fool not load up on guys who already have a lot of points.

Im is a must, it's absurd he's only $3.

Champ, Clark, Conners, KH Lee, Lebioda, McDowell, Furyk, Glover, Garcia & Fitzpatrick are guys my DFS model tends to value very highly. Many of those guys are often along the priciest options in DFS so shocking to see them so cheap

That's 11 guys for $33 total

$4 sabbatini

$37 total for 12

$7 Niemann, An, Matsuyama

$58 total for 15

$8 Spieth

$64 for 16

$10 Casey, Fleetwood, Cantlay, Rahm, Xander

$114 for 21

$11 Fowler, McIlroy

$136 for 23

That's over the cap and not anywhere close to the max and have no idea what scoring is but those are the guys who pop out to me

$1 Norlander, Steele, Johnson, Walker
$1 borderline Murray/Cink/Sticker/Chapell

$2 scheffler, Todd, Lebioda, Hovland, Trainer,

$3 champ

$4 Redman, bjerreaguard, McDowell, Niemann, Grillo
$4 borderline (i like but not necessarily more than some cheaper guys) Clark, List, Knox, Henley, KH Lee, Noren, Berger,

$5 Morikawa, Watson, Wolff, Stenson

$6 An, Garcia (maybe, iirc he didn't play too many events last year)

$7 Spieth, Day, DeChambreau

$8 Im

$10 Matsuyama, Reed

$11 Fowler, Finau, Xander

$12 Rose, Casey, Simpson

$13 Thomas

Rest seem too pricey to me

Mind you this is 100% DFS biased

Thanks Rick. As you can see from my research and non-final selections, I have an interest in many of those same guys. I've incorporated your thoughts into my 2nd team. I really liked that team on the left, but I swapped out Tiger and a $1 guy for Sunjae and Brendan Todd.

I'll post ownership when it gets sent to us.

Thank you again.

The nice things about Im and Lee is those guys are working it hard and barely take any breaks. The issues with a lot of the other guys is there happily sit out a week.
